    Photo Places album open in maps

    Why is there no way to be looking at your photos in the "places" album and being able to click on an image and open it up directly in maps? It seems like it would be an easy feature to add... Like for example you see something cool and take a quick pic of it and then later you want to go back to the exact spot. You should be able to click on the image and get directions.

    Am I the only one who doesn’t use widgets at all?

    I love that we now have the opportunity to customize our homescreen a little more and I was thrilled when the widgets first came out.. but since then I've used none of them for a long time. I had some of them for a little while on my home screen but I didn't really use them properly and I honestly find most of them totally useless and saw them more as an accessory. Now I'm back to not using widgets at all, feels and looks best to me. I just like the default design so much better that's why I also dislike seeing people customize their icons.. a pet peeve of mine :,)

    I'm interested in your opinion!!

    Contacts not syncing between my devices

    I have an iPhone 7 and an iPhone 5s with the same iCloud account. Each iPhone has contacts that are not in the other iPhone. How can I make these two phones have the exact same contacts?

    Using apps like Lockdown or DNSCloak at the same time as my VPN

    Is there a way to use one of those apps and my VPN and the same time? Because ios recognizes Lockdown as a VPN, which is not. Any help?

    iPhone 7 Plus keeps vibrating and has no voice coming through when I answer an incoming call (14.4)

    Hello, alarm clock doesn't allow me to add a new alarm, It simply crashes when I push the + . Also in the calendar, when I try to add an event in any day, when I try to choose the hour, it crashes. Can someone help me? Thanks.

    Recovery Mode During Updates

    Ive been having an issue with my iPhone XR. Whenever my phone updates itself, it goes into a recovery mode and will need to be updated/recovered with a computer. Is there any known information about this problem or solutions?

    I just got a renewed iPhone 11 pro from a 3rd party refurbisher. A diagnostic test tells me that the camera may have been changed - how can I check if the new camera is fully functional (within the iPhone software)?

    Basically the title. If the camera was replaced during the refurbishing process, what tests should I do to make sure the camera is fully functional? What should I be looking for, physically on the camera lenses and also in the software, to make sure it'll work as it should?

    Announce Messages Over Airpods missing in iOS 14.4??

    I recently updated my iPhone Xs to iOS 14.4, and realized Siri stopped reading my incoming texts to me through my Airpod Pros... Is this feature gone for anyone else? Or have they moved it? I had the "Announce Messages" toggle in my Control Center, but it's also gone.

    I'm pretty disappointed, it was a very useful feature to me!

    Organising calendars between 2 people

    I'm sure this is straightforward, but I cant seem to find the answer.

    I would like to continue having both my work schedule and my girlfriend's work schedule in my calendar. I would like her to continue to receive her 'time to leave' alerts and I'd like to receive mine, but we don't want to receive each other's.

    I would like to continue inputting my shifts, and I'd like her to continue inputting her shifts, so we only have to do this once, instead of both manually doing one another's every time.

    What's the best solution here? Am I missing something obvious? In notifications on settings, I can stop notifications of changes to a shared calendar, but not alerts like time to leave.

    Looking for best practice advice for file management between iPhone and PC (synchronizing, exporting images and videos, keeping live photos)

    Hi all,

    first off: I know similar questions have been asked before but those threads are either outdated or yielded no satisfactory answers to my questions, so I hope you can forgive me.

    I have an iPhone SE2020, which I specifically bought for its camera (4k/60fps). I have a youtube channel and just did a video podcast with a guest. I now have a 40GB file on my phone and cannot export it to my PC. The regular windows explorer option always freezes my computer (very new, very fast) and the export fails (iTunes installed, drivers updated, iPhone unlocked). I tried to use a 3rd party app called iCareFone and tried to export it with that app as well, but this only resulted in the file being displayed as 0MB in the destination folder. Since this is my first export with this phone, I have a few related questions.

    How can I export a (large) file from iPhone to PC, if the standard ways do not work? More generally, and perhaps more importantly: What is the best way to manage files between my computer and iPhone? As far as I know, Mac users have the advantage of syncing their photos and videos to a native app on Mac OS, enabling them to bulk-remove / bulk-sync large files and use the iPhone's camera in whatever way they want (i.e. for large projects). I have been trying to find software that emulates this as much as possible. Not only are all of the ones I find paid (and quite expensive, in my opinion) but also when I did use the export feature of iCareFone, the export didn't work. Is there any client that will let me use my iPhone to its full potential by enabling me to synchronize files like that? Also, what about live photos? Every time I export them, they turn un-live, and when I reimport them they stay dead. This is a real shame because it effectively means that I can't keep them live unless I keep them on my phone forever, which is simply not very sustainable given my Youtube channel and the fact that I would like to ideally be able to remove all files for a shoot day and then be able to move them back to my iPhone afterward.

    I am open to any suggestions and would be really grateful for some help! I know those of you who've been in the iOS ecosystem for a long time have probably dealt with these types of issues ages ago, but I've been struggling to figure it out and I thank you for your time reading through this!

    iPhone 11 iOS 14.4 Boot Loop / Frozen on Apple Logo

    I updated to 14.4 on the day of it's release but since then I've been experiencing some 3rd party apps not loading. A reboot would fix this.

    Today the Photos app wouldn't open so I rebooted again but this time the phone hasn't got past the apple logo. I've tried the Volume Up, Volume Down, Power button but to no avail. Still it freezes on the Apple Logo. I've done this 10 times or so.

    What can I try next? Has anyone else experienced this?

    Volume is increased in loud environments

    Hi,

    I have an issue that occurs when I'm in a telephone meeting on Zoom, using my Sony wh-1000xm4 on my iphone 12.

    Whenever the microphone on the headphones register a lot of noise in the surroundings the phone increases the audio volume to compensate for the background noise.

    Do you guys have any idea if this is a setting I can turn off on my iphone? I've looked in Zoom, Sony headphones settings and also through iphone settings but I can't find the option to turn it off.

    I have problems importing my gallery onto my PC.

    I'm reposting this here because I am sure it is a software problem.

    I handled most of the requred things; iTunes (for some reason) and iCloud installation, getting my stuff back from the Cloud, etc. So I'll get to the heart of the matter.

    When I try to import my gallery through Microsoft Photos, the process eventually crashes around 400-500 pieces. I figured, "I have 3000 pieces, that's fair" and started to import them year by year. However, now I have a new problem; some photos (and maybe some videos) don't get converted into the proper formats, meaning I can't view them and even see what they were about.

    Any way to solve this? Being able to import them all in one go would be a big plus too, however, my first priority is getting my gallery on to my PC intact.

    Is anyone seeing issues with face id after iOS 14.4 upgrade? For me the face id unlock works only once or twice out of 10 times. I have tried resetting face id, restarting phone etc etc. Any solutions on how to fix it?

    Problem with deleted videos

    Hi, i deleted some of the videos that i recorded recently(over 35GB's) cuz i was out of space but after deleting it it didnt register that i did it(?) Theres still almost no space on my phone, i checked recently deleted and they are not there and i dont really know what to do. I already tried to restart the phone but it didnt help.

    Wifi and Bluetooth Issues on iOS 14.4

    Wifi has been really horrible, my iPhone seems to have a hard time searching for networks, but when it does, sometimes unable to join pops up but other times it's completely fine.

    When it does connect, the range of my wifi seems much lower, (my other devices don't experience this).

    Bluetooth has also been an issue, my earphones connect sometimes but they drop connection a lot.

    Has anyone been experiencing the same? I've tried all of the suggested fixes I've seen but it hasn't made things better or worse.

    I've even gone as far as restoring my iPhone and trying to see if the issues would be present before restoring from backup.

    Move to iOS not working

    My girlfriend is trying to transfer from her Motorola E4 running Android 7.1.1, and we're trying to transfer everything over to my old iPhone that she's using, but the transfer never even really starts. Like I get the transfer progress bar, but it never goes anywhere, jumps between 2 minutes remaining and 80 hours remaining, but never actually transfers anything. We've tried the restart fix, and we've tried setting the phone to airplane mode, but no luck. Any suggestions, or alternatives that don't cost $80? (Looking at you, PhoneTrans). Saving messages aren't important, but she'd like to keep contacts and photos and possibly bookmarks if that's possible
