    WiFi off until tomorrow

    I've searched with no luck. The button in control center that turns wifi off until tomorrow, does this have a certain amount of hours it lasts, certain time of day? Seems more like a certain amount of time to me because I've noticed it coming back at different times of the day.

    Alarm completely silent 90% of the time?

    I'm on the latest update with an iPhone 7 and the alarms do not make any sound for some reason. This glitch happened a few times before as well but not to this extent. I think it worked properly twice recently and that's it. My ringer isn't silent, I know this because when I set the alarm 1 minute ahead or try the timer, it works normally, but when I use the alarm to wake up in the morning 8 hours later it goes silent automatically and I see the snooze button with no sound after oversleeping. I check the sounds and haptic every time before setting the alarms and the ringer volume is at full, phone calls and every other notification works as well. I rely on this alarm a lot, how do I fix this? Or can I just download a separate alarm app?

    YouTube and Google Chrome apps have been really slow and have had lots of bugs lately

    Post just about summarizes it. Both apps are suddenly really slow (I've had my Iphone 12 pro for a month now so it's not old), having trouble loading, and in the case of the YouTube app it's bad enough to the point that the no internet prompt appears. Bugs for the YouTube app include YouTube channel links and end cards appearing shifted downwards at the end of videos, audio lagging behind the video after pausing (although I wouldn't be surprised if that's because I watch at 2x speed), and in one case the screen flickering when an alarm went off. In the case of the Chrome app, when I close a website and then the app, sometimes when I reopen the app the website is still there. Any fixes for any of these issues?

    Edit: I probably should have mentioned this before, but I also appear to have loading issues on Google Classroom and the grading portal my school uses, Infinite Campus.

    Switching from google photos to iCloud

    How to bulk download everything including Live Photos ? I'm an iPhone user, been using google photos to back up all my photos "mostly Live Photo's" however I'm now considering switching to iCloud. So I'm trying to save all the photos from google photos to local camera roll on iPhone. The thing is, When I select multiple photos from google photos app and then save it through the share sheet, it downloads all Live Photos as still. On the other hand, bulk downloading from the website downloads each Live Photo as two files, one as still photo and the other as a video. I'm not sure what to do, any help appreciated

    How do I stop spellcheck from correcting correctly spelled words?

    I'm getting so sick of the new autocorrect feature where its correcting words that are already spelled correctly because spell check thinks it understands the context of the sentence better than I do.

    I type "You" it corrects to "Toy". I type "Gilroy" (a town in California) it corrects to "Agility". I type lol, it corrects to LOL. Nothing is that funny. I type Were, it corrects to We're. Let me finish the sentence before you go nuts there making it about us instead of the past tense.

    And of course when I type "omw" it corrects to "On My Way!" Which again, nobody is ever that excited to share that they're on their way to something.

    How do I stop iOS from incorrectly guessing at correctly spelled words, without losing the ability to spellcheck all together? This is driving me crazy!

    How does iCloud work?

    everyone! I'm a very new iPhone user. I switched from android in January and so far I feel like my life has turned around thanks to this phone, lol.

    One thing that bugs me though is the photo system... I recently got a message saying that my iCloud was almost full and I needed to upgrade my storage.

    On android every photo I had was simply a physical file stored in my gallery. is everything on iPhone basically in the cloud?

    Am sorry if this is a noob kind of question but can someone gain any information on my phone if I share my iPhone's hotspot? I have a windows PC and if I share my iPhones cellular data with it can any rogue app gain information about my iPhone or the data stored within?

    How to tell whether on-device dictation is enabled?

    Apple's privacy page for dictation mentions an "on-device dictation" mode which doesn't send audio to Apple's servers. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to enable it specifically on iOS (you can enable dictation, but not on-device dictation specifically). Anyone know how to enable it, or at least to tell whether it has somehow been enabled automatically (perhaps it's just a matter of hardware support or something like that)?

    Was there an update to app opening animations? Or am I just facing a bug?

    Suddenly my apps are all opening with a sliding animation from the right which is very noticeable, and many times I'm experiencing a glitch when I just end up in a blurred screen of my homepage.

    This usually happens when opening an app with search function like Safari and navigating to a link that opens a specific app (e.g Instagram), when trying to go back to previous Safari window it will be just stack on that blurred screen, and only way to go around it is to app jump from the bottom slider.

    By any chance was there a quiet update pushed recently or something? Or it's just a weird bug I'm facing?

    Update: I just noticed it also happens when accessing WhatsApp from the lockscreen, a "Search" text appears in the top left corner and when selected it brings to that blurred screen, might be a bug related to Zuck's apps since it happens on Insta and WA, I guess?

    I know the system already eats some gb away, but 16?!?!? I find that a little bit excessive. Is it the apps Apple pre installed?

    Specifically what I am referring to is, when you're in a text message and you click the camera beside the keyboard to share a photo, rather than taking you straight to the photo albums, it launches the camera, where you then have to click the "photos" icon in the top left corner to get to your albums.

    This seems extremely counterproductive in comparison to how it was previously.

    What are you all's thoughts?

    What's a good (vault) app to hide photos?

    I'm looking for an app to hide some promiscuous photos, something a little more advanced than the standard 'Hidden' album. I've looked at Keepsafe, but it's ridiculously expensive. Also checked out Private Photo Vault, but that app only has limited sharing functions (most notable I can't share on Wickr).

    Dolby atmos on iPhone

    We have been told a couple of years ago that iPhones can now support dolby atmos. So I recently have my hands on the iPhone 12 pro max 3 days ago and trying to experience the capabilities of it. I did an upgrade to my netflix subscription to ultra hd which can also support dolby atmos on some titles. To my disappointment, i have not seen any titles on my app that has the dolby atmos on it. Only dolby vision. I don't know maybe I am just too ignorant to have not known it but, don't you think it's a little bit misleading? Also, why does a movie that has dolby atmos logo on my old iphone 7plus but the logo doesn't appear on my smart tv apple tv app?

    Battery health issues?

    Battery health

    So I have an 11 Pro from December 2019. Little over a year old now.

    I used a wireless charger and for the last 3 months Apple plug in charger. I noticed that my battery health was steadily declining. Like each update it dropped 1% or more. This is why I thought maybe it's the wireless charger (Logitech Powered 3in1). So for the last few months I've been using the Apple plug and cable. But I often wouldn't charge overnight now. I'd only really charge now during the day. Also not always fully charged.

    Right now my phone is down to 86% battery health.

    Does this seem right for a year old? I can actually notice the decrease and feel like I'm having to charge more often than I used to.

    Tone only when someone texts me directly but not when they text to a group thread?

    Here's my goal: I would like for all texts to be silent except for when my wife is texting me directly (as opposed texting to a group thread we're both on - when she does that, I don't want there to be a sound).

    I've set the default text tone to silent. I've then given my wife's contact a custom tone. So when she texts I hear a sound. When anyone else texts, I don't.

    Great so far, but I don't want to hear a tone when she texts to a group thread that we're both on. And I can't figure out how to separate that.

    I've been manually hiding alerts for the most active of these group threads, but that's overkill and will be a problem in the long run. I've played around with various Do Not Disturb and Emergency Bypass settings, but no luck.

    Any ideas?
