    Reposting this question. Does anyone know how to fix this? I was told it was a boot loop. The model is an iPhone 6s, and it is only like this when plugged in, since it doesn’t work without being plugged in.

    Is there any way to stop other peoples contact photos from changing? I have the photo set to what I want it to be but it keeps changing back to what they have it set as.

    I know it changes like every time she texts me or whatever but idk why they'd add this feature with no way to avoid it.

    I want the picture to be an embarrassing ugly picture of my friend not this cute picture of her, that's not fun. iOS is ruining my fun. Is there a way around this?

    Mac Mini 2011 keeps shutting down halfway through the start up bar.... it was on macOS 10.13.6. I’ve tried holding down CMD+R but it won’t go into recovery mode. Thoughts?

    Is there an adapter I can buy for my lightning EarPods that allows me to use them with devices that require a 3.5mm headphone jack? It's really hard to search for because all I can find is the opposite. If you know of one, please post a link. :)

    Need troubleshooting advice & maybe buying suggestions: Big Sur has made my external mouse and keyboard setup for accessibility useless...

    Hi there folks,

    So I'll give you some background. I am vision impaired, so I rely on accessibility shortcuts. I managed to have a set up that just worked wonderfully for me. I used an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. I used the Razer Naga Chroma and the Razer Synapse to program the keyboard short cuts into the numpad on the side of mouse. 1 would be zoom, 2 & 3 to increase and decrease the zoom, 4 to invert colours and so on. It was perfect, didn't need to use the keyboard short cuts at all. Today, I just installed Big Sur. Not only has it made razer synapse unable to recognise my mouse, it doesn't fully recognise my external keyboard for shortcuts! I can type words, but it doesn't recognise the options and command keys. I've tried troubleshooting, identifying the keyboard, and modifying the keys because I had those two keys reversed since it's originally a windows keyboard so the order was correct. So, now my awesome set up with big screen, and my instant accessibility mouse set up is ruined. I'm really gutted, because for the last few years it's been fantastic.

    I have a feeling that's it, I can't do anything to fix it and I have no idea even how to make short cuts to work again on my external keyboard, because I could have at least coped with that unless I buy a Mac compatable one (and I like the mechanical keys).

    So I'm looking for some advice. Maybe more trouble shooting options or a new mouse and keyboard suggestion. I want a mouse similar to my Razer Naga. A mouse originally used for MMO games. The thing is, I'm not sure how far these mouses go in easy to program buttons, number of buttons etc. razer synapse 3 isn't on Mac from what I'm aware of so a new razer naga trinity wouldn't work. I think Logitech has a similar mouse, but I'm not sure how far programming the buttons go. If I can even put keyboard short cuts on the numpad of the mouse. But maybe they do. Anyway, hope I've provided enough details about my problem. I'm gonna be honest, I'm really frustrated. My set up gone just like that.

    EDIT: what I mean about Razer Synapse 2 not recognising my mouse is that it says "please connect your Razer compatible mouse" or whatever despite being plugged in.

    I'm finally switching back to iPhone after 12 years of Android and have a question about storage

    Hey guys, I finally decided to get an iPhone after being a staunch Android user for over a decade. I'm having great difficulty deciding between the 128 and 256 gb iPhone 12 Pro Max though. I should mention that I have an M1 Mac on the way as well, so backing stuff up won't be a problem. I've heard it's a pain with non-Apple computers.

    I plan on using it for 1-2 years before upgrading, depending on when they introduce a fingerprint reader to the screen and a couple other features.

    I use spotify for all my music and almost exclusively stream any videos as well. As far as apps go I do tend to have a few pages, but the games I play aren't anything like fortnite so nothing too massive. I do take a lot of photos and videos though in the highest resolution (when not in lockdown).

    I currently have a Huawei P20 Pro with 78/128gb. I've had it for about 2.5 years and haven't really deleted anything/used cloud storage. Photos/videos are 20gb and apps are 44gb.

    Based on that 128gb feels like enough, especially if I use iCloud. I'm concerned tho because the iPhone has a much better camera which will probably motivate me to use it more and I have no idea how big iPhone apps are or if I'll end up with more if I like the app store more than google play. Not to mention system updates over time, especially if I keep it 2 years instead of 1.

    Can anyone with experience with both android phones and iphones weigh in on how similar storage usage on both is? Because despite icloud and backing up being available, I'm kinda old fashioned about keeping my photos/vids on my phone in full resolution.

    Are the any good lightweight Spreadsheet programs for Mac? Or is there any way to make Apple's Numbers work as well as Numbers '09?

    I've tried restoring the watch and phone.

    On WiFi, not on WiFi. Very close proximity to each other. Plugged in.

    It has been a while since I have tried, but it always says it cannot be updated due to it not being connected to WiFi.

    I was trying to factor reset my Apple TV 3 gen and when I was on iTunes it was going perfectly in till I accidentally disconnected it and now when I plug it into my computer it doesn't show up I'm really disappointed man

    I been having problems with audio while using my Xiaomi Mi True Wireless Earphones Lite on iphone se 2020, been having that issue basically right when i bought the earphones (while i still had ios 13).

    The thing is same issue doesnt happen while using my girlfriend wireless earphones (diferent brand), but using my wireless earphones on her phone (android) there is absolutelly no issue and i even tested on another android phone and also no issue...

    What i have done so far is : Reset network settings, forget bluetooth device, reset my Earphones, completely drain earphones charge, complete format on my iphone (no backup, just straight up as new device), tried removing the case, diferent locations, tested distance (no matter the distance funny enough), rebooting iphone, bluetooth on and off, airplain on and off.

    Im absolutely lost there as i believe i did everything that could be done.

    My 2017 MacBook Air took a very long time to open (it was on sleep mode but still took ages) then it gave me a notification to "Optimise Your Mac" what does it mean? Also My Mac is on bug sur and up to date.

    Updated iPhone XR to iOS 14; photos not backed up to iCloud after buying 50g plan

    After updating my phone I was told that 2k+ of my items haven't been uploaded to iCloud, was prompted to purchase an iCloud data plan. Bought 50g plan, still says all my items haven't been uploaded to iCloud.

    Do I have to manually upload them somehow? 50 gigs should be more than enough storage, why haven't they uploaded to my cloud yet?

    Accidentally sent location to someone on iMessage

    Basically I matched with a guy on tinder, we were chatting on iMessage and I went to save his number. Instead of hitting info I hit send my location by mistake so now the guy knows my address which is a bit annoying because we've been speaking for a total of a day. Has anyone ever done this by mistake? It seems like such an easy thing to do and I assume there's no way to delete it 😐

    As a girl I'm cautious enough on tinder with some of the guys you see on there so would rather this couldn't happen!

    “This iPhone was not able to download 8 full-resolution photos and videos.” when trying to disable iCloud on my phone

    Hi, I ran out of iCloud storage a very long time ago but just kinda forgot about it since I've been using Google Photos. The problem is that for some reason the 'optimise iPhone storage' option was checked and it's removed some of my photos.

    There's one photo which definitely got corrupted somehow that I managed to recover from iCloud web, but I have no idea how to find the other 7 photos.

    I've tried selecting them one hundred at time and going 'share' then 'email' which downloads them onto my device - this way I've gone from 350+ to 8 but I cannot find these last ones. The thought of losing 7 random photos of my son is pretty awful :/

    How can I recover them please? Or at least see which ones the 7 are which haven't downloaded yet? Thanks.

    [BUG] iPhone 8+ Disconnects From WiFi When Locked Following iOS 14+ Updates

    After updating my iPhone to iOS 14, I've consistently gotten WiFi issues, disconnects, and one consistent error that happens every time I lock my phone, that being my phone disconnecting from the internet. As I don't have phone service, this issue prevents my phone from working properly when it turns off, makes updating difficult etc etc. I have renewed the lease, checked the modem, reset network settings, disabled network location services, basically every step of advice given when I google this issue. It is not a modem issue as the bug happens no matter where I am or what network I'm connected to. The issue goes away when I update my phone (14.1-5), but immediately returns the second I turn WiFi off or completely lose signal (whenever I leave my house). I've reset my phone (not wiped), and the only two things left I haven't done is go into recovery mode/revert to iOS 13. Has anyone else gotten this issue/have a fix? it's been a problem since this update released and I haven't found a permanent solution yet.

    Swapping a 2015 macbook pro efi chip

    I accidentally broke the efi chip on my 2015 macbook pro 13. I have ordered the same chip and found a dump online. I edited the dump of the firmware to include my correct serial number and mlb number however it wouldnt boot to macos installers (I tried mojave and high sierra). It would just hang after a bit. I can provide the verbose output when trying to boot. Internet recovery also starts but then hangs once its finished loading. Windows 10 installs and works fine. Apple diagnostics state that there may be a problem with the firmware so I'm starting to question this dump. I know that I need to clean the intel ME before flashing and am aware how to do this.

    There is no point taking it to apple. They'll just charge me for a new board and I can just do that myself for a fraction of the cost.

    So my questions are:

    Can anoyone provide me with a known working dump from a 2015 13' macbook pro?

    How do you edit it to include the correct serial and mlb numbers?

    Thanks for any suggestions! I know this is a technical question but hopefully somebody knows more
