So on "Servant", and AppleTV+ show, the main characters are often FaceTiming via what appears to be an AppleTV without screen mirroring. Is there a way to set up FaceTime via webcam and AppleTV that I'm not aware of?

Downloading Apple TV movies on the actual Apple TV?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2021 02:35 AM PST

I'm really unsure why we can't get the option to download the movies directly on our Apple TV, especially if we have a bad wifi connection.

The apple tv has 64GB, how could I use them?

Apple TV 4k Versus Firestick 4k

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 02:13 PM PST

I'm wondering if someone can provide a reason to buy an Apple TV 4k over a Firestick 4k? I currently own two older model Apple TVs - I bought these at a time when this was the only easy way to watch your iTunes library on your TV. Now that the Apple TV application is offered on the Firestick 4k, which is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than the Apple TV, what exactly is the selling point?

Before the downvotes come pouring in, please know that I'm not trying to hate. I have an iPhone 12, iPad Pro, Airpod Pros, Watch, Macbook, and a Apple TV. I'm not trying to flex here, but rather make the point that I'd clearly be going with an Apple TV 4k over a Firestick 4k if the price and functionality was comparable.

    Is there something I'm missing?

Is it worth upgrading from Apple TV HD to 4K if most of the stuff I watch isn’t true 4K?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 08:13 AM PST

I guess what I'm saying is, most of the time I'm watching 1080p content anyway, and my 4K TV should already be upscaling that right? Would watching 1080p content on the Apple TV 4K make that much of a difference? I don't have the 4K Netflix plan, HBO MAX doesn't have anything in 4K, it's only Prime where some things are in 4K for me. And since my 4K TV is Roku, if there's something actually in 4K I'll just watch it on the Roku. Is it really worth it upgrading to the 4K when most content isn't 4K? I still use the Apple TV HD over Roku just because I like it better.

    Best streaming movies for 4K?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 11:32 AM PST

I've had an ATV4k for awhile now, but I'm just getting a 4K tv today. Can anyone recommend good streaming movies to really test it out with? I have all the standard streaming services, but only standard Netflix. I'm also willing to rent a movie if it's really great.

Siri on Apple TV won’t turn off captions

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 08:30 PM PST

For some reason as of late when I ask Siri on the remote to turn on/off captions, it says it can't at the moment. I have to manually turn them on and off myself. Anyone else running into this issue? Any possible fix? Thanks in advance!

Apple TV Channels on Web Browswer

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 12:30 PM PST

Is it possible to get Apple TV Channels on a web browser? For instance, when I get Showtime through Amazon Prime, I can watch it on a browser. I don't see where there is an option for someone who gets channels through Apple.

How do I keep my Apple TV from turning off when I leave?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:16 PM PST

My Apple TV 4K is associated with my Apple ID. Every time I leave the house, the Apple TV goes to sleep, consequently also turning off the TV and AVR. This is obviously very annoying to my wife. Is there a way to disable this functionality?

    Apple One

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 06:18 AM PST

If I sign up now for the Apple One plan will I get the $5 monthly credit for Apple TV+ trial being extended? Or, will I lose the rest of my trial period? I already subscribe to Apple Music.

I know they are offering the monthly credit after extending the ATV trial but I don't know if they will do it for new One subscribers.

Comprehensive List of Picture-in-Picture (PiP) Appa

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 10:44 AM PST

So, THE most exciting feature of the last major APPLE TV OS update was the promised 3rd party app Picture-in-Picture support.

However...it seems like hardly any apps (other than the main Apple TV app) actually support the feature. Or maybe there are more apps that support it - but because the feature is pretty much hidden - people (including me) just aren't aware.

    Question:

Is there a list of Apple TV apps that support Picture-in-Picture in 2021?

I need an updated list. The only thing I'm finding are lists from September 2020 that are majorly out of date.

Latest Update Messed Up My Remote

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 10:34 AM PST

Ever since my TV 4k autoupdated to v14.4 (18K1802) 4 days ago, my menu control is clunky. Rather than sliding smoothly from app to app when using my remote to select an app icon, there are delays, pauses, and slow reaction time between what I'm telling the remote to do with my thumb and what's happening on the menu screen. It's really bad when rearranging apps on the screen. Is this a known glitch that is being worked on? Are others having this problem?

Can I use the Apple TV app to watch true 4K content?

    Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:00 AM PST

Or do I need to buy the box?

According to Google, watching 4K content is just as good on the app?
What's the box even used for then?

I just wanna watch LOTR extended version in true 4K HDR :)
