    I know that Apple will never do any big sales for Black Friday or Cyber Monday but I wanted to see if anyone has seen any kind of lower pricing anywhere on Apple TVs?

    Odd issue post stereo HomePod addition.

    I added 2 HomePod (original) to my Apple 4K. Now when I start a show, after about 2-3 minutes the screen on my tv will go black for 30-45 seconds. Then 45 minutes later the tv shuts off. In both cases the show continues to play, but it isn't viewable on the tv obviously.

    Any troubleshooting ideas?

    Question on how to to fix controller/ appletv remote input lag

    Hey guys, my family and I just got an appletv! I thought it was very interesting when I realized we could play games on it, so I purchased a used ps4 controller and started playing games from the arcade. I enjoyed playing a lot, but after a while of playing games I noticed very annoying delays when I pushed buttons, it took at least 2 seconds for it to respond and at most 5-6 seconds. While the controller lag went on, I noticed the appletv remote had delays when I switched from the ps4 controller to the appletv remote. I restarted appletv and reconnected to the controller, which makes it work for a short time but it always ends up lagging at some point.

    Is there a way I can do something in order to avoid the controller delay? It would be nice to play games on my appletv without experiencing this problem.

    if you're using YouTube app on AppleTV, can you see your "Watch Later" or history page? or is everything greyed out out that page today? Thanks!

    HDMI-CEC - Completely busted since upgrading to TVOS 14

    Has anyone else had this problem, and anyone hear on the grapevine if Apple is fixing the problem? Completely lost the ability to turn on/off my other devices or control volume ever since the TVOS auto-update dropped. Very frustrating. Tried resets, turning it on and off again, all the usual basic-level crap. No luck.

    Semi, if not fully stupid question about 4K movies

    I don't have a 4K tv or AppleTV. The Lord of the Rings is being released on 12/1 in 4K with rerendered special effects. I'm assuming that Apple will upgrade my HD versions of the movies. Will my existing non-4K setup play these updated movies at 1080p or do I need to upgrade something (probably the AppleTV)?

    Should I sell my Apple TV 4K now I have a PS5?

    So I have an Apple TV 4K device but recently acquired a PS5 which it has Apple TV as an app installed.

    Should I then sell the Apple TV 4K or there's some stuff I should be aware of that still only wouldn't be accesible through the PS5 app?

    What's the difference between one and another?

    Using the Sony Remote (Sony X950H) for the Apple TV

    Is there a way to set up the Sony remote to have full access to the Apple TV? I can use the back button, the arrow buttons, and the enter button for the basic features, but I'm wondering more about controlling Siri, or getting into the main app menu so you can force close apps, like Disney+. I've had this TV since July and I can't figure out how I can better use the remote. Am I just out of luck and have to use the Apple TV remote or is there a way I can actually get rid of it because it's not an entirely good remote.

    How to add a sleep timer for Apple TV

    For those that wish that Apple TV had a dedicated sleep timer (not the sleep timer that automatically shuts off Apple TV due to inactivity), here is a neat workaround that works really well for me.

    If you long press on Apple TV in the home app and scroll down to settings, you'll see the option to add automation. Click on add automation then select "A time of day occurs". Choose time of day and add a time, then hit next (you can go in and change the time whenever you like). Under media, select pause audio. Hit back, then press done. This will effectively pause whatever is playing on your Apple TV and the Apple TV will turn off due to no activity depending on how long you have the Sleep After settings in general on your Apple TV. It may not be as good as a dedicated button or option, but works really well in my testing the last couple nights. Hope that helps.

    Really trying to power through uncut gems jumping all over the place but I'm freaking grinding my teeth here. It's just infuriating, cause my internet speeds are A1, and it works flawlessly on every other device. Just seeing if it's just my Apple TV!

    How to keep Apple Music playing absent video output?

    Maybe I'm missing something. I have Apple 4K connected to my onkyo avr. I use my video projector via hdmi for video output. I can use Siri to start playing Apple Music. Soon after playback stops. If I first turn on the projector and start playing Apple Music, the music will continue, even if I turn the projector off. Is there a setting to allow Apple Music to play without first having to turn on the video projector?

    Airplay 1 Apple TV + to old Apple TV?

    Hi. A friend got a years free Apple TV+ and I want to lend them an unused old Apple TV. It's the model from before they had an App Store. When I try and airplay something I have on my phone it works fine but when I try and airplay something from Apple TV+ it doesn't work. Does anyone know why or a work around? They don't Ana their kids crowded around an iPad to watch snoopy if they can send to their old tv. Alternatively they have a chrome cast but I assume that is an instant no go?

    Can't find live Champions League via CBS All Access via Apple TV.

    Within my Apple TV+ subscription (currently free), I purchased a subscription bundle of Showtime and CBS All Access. I went to CBS All Access within the Apple TV app to watch a live Champions League match, but I cannot find it anywhere. There are replays of former matches and other related content - but not the live match that is happening right now. The only live TV channel it shows is my local CBS affiliate. Previously, when I had a standalone subscription directly to CBS All Access, this was not an issue.

    Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    ATV keep nagging/turning auto update on

    Does airplay streaming work better with the AppleTV HD or AppleTV 4K?

    I currently use an Apple TV HD and notice that occasionally when I stream video from my MacBook Pro (2016) or iPad Pro (2020) the video will lose a few frames and periodically stutter. The video source is either something through a web browser or through the Formula 1, F1TV app. The video on the source is smooth.

    My Apple TV HD is connected to my home network via wireless. I realize this could be a network issue but I never had any issue with my system so far. Unfortunately I cannot connect my Apple TV with wired ethernet due to location.

    Is the occasional video stutter something that would improve if I upgraded to an Apple TV 4k?

    I can't find any info besides an article from 2019 implying that it won't and there's no Netflix logo on apples list of streaming platforms.

    Wanna get the 4K model for the fam for Xmas. Cheers.
