Though when testing it out, i've noticed that the earpiece is quieter than my iPhone 11's earpiece. I can still hear from it but it is noticeably quieter and i'm not really used to it. | Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:02 PM PDT if im paying .99 cents monthly for extra icloud storage, does my photos and contacts get backed up to the icloud? im asking only because my iphone recently got wet and i cant access the phone anymore. i know i havent done a hard back up to itunes in a long time, but i remember some of my pics taken in 2016 would take time to load on my phone because it was loading from the cloud, so im hoping all the content is saved still. any advice? I went to a party recently and i forgot i had my iphone in my swim shorts and basically went into the jacuzzi and my iphone got submerged with water. and now after a couple days i realized the stuff on my iphone isnt accessible because i had a f2a on that device. so it keeps sending the f2a on that iphone but i cant even turn it on. its my only trusted device. i spoke with apple and they basically put me on recovery mode so they could send a new f2a to my sisters iphone after some given days. but i keep reading articles that the data on the iphone might get corrupted and i could potentially lose everything if the device gets corosion. i had the iphone backed up to icloud, but i dont remember if i had photos and contacts checked off. basically since i dont have a iphone anymore, i was thinking about geting a new one from sprint/tmobile and bringing in my old sim card and having them put it into the new device, will the new iphone become the new trusted device so i can recieve the new f2a code? or should i just wait till after some given days to get a new f2a code on my sisters phone so i can access my data on icloud.com? there is another option, where i can take my damaged iphone to a shop where they can clean it and try and save it. but alot of risks are taken into account. any help or opinions matter, thank you! | Pull only iMessages from iCloud backup Posted: 30 Oct 2020 12:08 PM PDT Hello! I recently got my iphone 12 pro running 14.1 and I wanted to start fresh without carrying over my apps and settings. I did not restore from an iCloud back up and I did not transfer information over from my previous iPhone XS. I setup my iphone 12 pro, signed into my iCloud account, and setup my phone. My photos have synced with iCloud and I can see pictures from my XS and before, my contacts have downloaded, but my iMessages did not pull from iCloud. | iPhone 12 text message issues. Posted: 30 Oct 2020 07:26 PM PDT Wife got a new iPhone 12 this past Monday, did a quick transfer from her XR. She is having two issues with Messages. She is randomly missing texts from group chats, doesn't seem to matter if she's on cellular or WiFi, also both iPhone and Android texts are going missing. Second any pictures she sends to my Android phone won't send, no error message, no transfer progress bar or "delivered" message, they show in her message feed on her phone but they aren't sent to me. Trouble shooted with T-mobile and we went through making sure all the settings were correct. We reset the network and factory settings. Still no luck. | iPhone X randomly selecting things on screen on its own. Help? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 02:50 PM PDT iPhone X, 13.7 iOS Recently my iPhone X has been selecting things on the screen by it self. I'll be in the middle of typing or scrolling and it will freak out and start selecting random things. The only way to stop it is to click the side lock button, but then it will start back up again randomly. Unless you hit the lock button it will continue on its rampage, though sometimes it will stop after a few seconds on its own. An example: I'll be typing a comment on Reddit and while I'm typing, the phone will stop reading hat my fingers are doing and start it's own actions. The phone will click the search bar, then from there select a site that was recently viewed, open that site and start selecting things as if I was doing it. Another example is while watching a YouTube video on full screen, the screen will bring up and hide the play/fast forward/volume bar along the bottom of the screen, then it will leave full screen, then select another video in the related section and start playing that video. Could the issue be a bug in the version iOS I'm using? Would an update possibly solve the issue? Do you think this could be related to a software issue? Could it be a screen/hardware issue? It was a Chinese website that has been on the news for political reasons. I know I fucked up. Having said that, my phone has been glitching ever since. It's battery life seems normal as does data usage but I use wifi primarily so it's hard to tell. As far as what's happening, the icons on my screen are shuffled or not there. | iPhone 12pro iOS 14.1 Screen shuts off/lockscreen Posted: 30 Oct 2020 12:44 AM PDT Hey guys and girls, my iPhone sometimes just goes dark and enters lockscreen all of a sudden. It happens very rarely and without warning. It happens maybe 1-2 times per day. I can type a message or play a game and suddenly the iPhone enters lockscreen. Energy saving mode is off and the Auto lockscreen is set to 2 minutes - so that cannot be the problem. I just recently switched from my iPhone XS with the most recent iOS firmware and it had the same issue. I tried a soft reset and deleted some apps but so far nothing changed. Any ideas? | IPhone 7 Mic and Earpiece not working. Posted: 30 Oct 2020 05:10 AM PDT IPhone 7 - 128GB Software Version 14.1 Today morning i found out that My Mic and Earpiece is not working. I have tried to use the mic on voice memos and whatsapp voice notes both times the recording didn't even start. Siri is not working too. As for the earpiece i couldn't hear anything when i got a call and I even tried to listen to some old WhatsApp voice notes from the earpiece without any luck. Speakers are working fine i can play videos but I don't get the option to put a call on speaker the icon is grayed out. I have tried plugging the headset in and to my surprise it doesn't work too. Once the update was downloaded and installed I lost all of my contact suggestions that pop up after taking a screen shot should you want to share the picture. And ever since then it hasn't been the same. Instead of getting suggestions of the people I text the most. | Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:37 AM PDT Hey guys my friend's iPhone 11 Pro has been acting up. Apple told her to take it to Geek Squad bc they didn't have time to fix it for her. Geek Squad proceeded to say "Hey it just needs to be factory reset. It'll be 15 minutes." Her phone is now stuck on the black screen with the Apple logo and a 3/4 full loading bar underneath. Geek Squad then noticed rust around the charging port and said her phone is probably water damaged and to just get a new one. Her phone is still on the Apple logo loading page and it has been about 12 hours. Is there any possible way to force quit the phone out of this screen and restart it or is it officially dead? Today, I completed the album and discovered that my previous purchases aren't incorporated into the album view. This is really irritating if I want to listen to the album from start to finish.
