Weird glitch with 14.0.1 with passcode

    Posted: 28 Sep 2020 03:36 AM PDT

Hey, so I tried to reset my Apple ID password to get something from the App Store. It asked me to put in the passcode for my phone, the one to open it up from the Lock Screen, like it's done before in the past. In order to reset my password. Anyway, I tried putting it in multiple times and keep getting "wrong passcode" and then "too many failed attempts."

It's 10000% the right passcode though, I even locked my phone and then opened it using that passcode. Anyone have a similar issue with the new iOS and any advice? Thanks!

The "home" tab in the YouTube app is a mess (it doesn't even get fixed after rebooting the app or the phone or uninstalling and reinstalling).

    Introducing the Tech Support FAQ.

    Posted: 28 Sep 2020 03:52 AM PDT

Today, we're announcing the Tech Support 'Frequently Asked Questions' (FAQ) wiki page. A group of our mods have done their best to include some initial answers to some commonly asked questions that appear in the daily support thread. The wiki page will start off rather small but hopefully over time we can (and will!) add more to the wiki page. However, we do ask that if you have a request for something to be added to that wiki - to please modmail us and we'll see if we can get it answered (or even better, if you have an answer to it already).

If you have any requests for this wiki page, feel free to comment below. This FAQ will be linked in the daily tech support thread, too.

YouTube has removed Picture in Picture even with desktop version. However, you can still play a video with a new tab open in safari (maybe this is a bug, and I don’t expect it to last long)

With home screens becoming more customizable Apple should allow us to save Home Screen layouts

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 02:31 PM PDT

Now that we can use many different combinations of widgets, shortcuts, custom icons, etc, Apple should seriously consider letting us save our home screen layouts. I know that I personally will like to periodically switch up my Home Screen wallpaper, widgets, and icons. Doing this would be much easier if we could save those layouts and easily reimplement them.

    Transparent widgets?

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 02:01 PM PDT

Is there an app out there has transparent widgets? I want to make a minimalist Home Screen by having the top third have no apps just the wallpaper.

Using Cocoa Touch for building IOS apps?

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 08:48 AM PDT

I am just starting how to build IOS apps. I know that modern IOS applications are written in Swift (and some still written with Objective C). The question is, do modern IOS apps use some kind of framework when making IOS applications, similar to how Android uses the Android framework for building Android apps. From what I've researched, Apple uses an API or software framework called Cocoa Touch for building IOS apps, but I'm not entirely sure on that.

The steps I followed for starting off IOS development were:

    1. Getting an Macbook Air and becoming familiar with MacOS (including XCode and getting use to the terminal)
    2. Haning an IPhone 7 (that I got back in Christmas 2016, though don't use it that much)
    3. Learning Objective C, then a little Swift (still in progress)

So after learning the language, what framework or library do I use for making IOS applications?
