    I posted earlier to this sub about what I should do about my phone that has a swelling battery, causing the screen to pop off. I was originally going to have it repaired, but the phone is continuing to swell, even now when I have stopped using/charging it. It looks REALLY big and puffy and I've heard that it could possibly explode. How do I safely dispose of this battery so it doesn't start a fire in my room??

    i All, I am desperately hoping someone can help me. I have tried with Apple support twice and been unable to resolve it. I went to look on my iphone and then iCloud for baby photos of my son and they are all gone!! I don't have a single photo or video (in either location) from May 25th to 1st Oct 2018. I don't know exactly when they disappeared but apple support said nothing they can do. They are not in my deleted folder. If anyone knows any things I could try I would be eternally grateful. Any other time would be ok but this is everything I have of my son's first few months! Thank you in advance for your help (also posted in r/apple

    Alright so I'll begin with some context about my phone: IOS 13.5 (I'm blanking on the exact number but it's 1 before the most current version), IPhone X, cracked screen but with no actual damage, functioned fine for the past 7-8 months.

    So the other day my IPhone ran out of battery for the first time in literal months. I figured it would be no big deal and went to plug it in, but upon it loading, it worked for just a minute before the screen went black (note that it was plugged in while I was using it). I figured it just needed time to charge but once it powered back on, it got stuck in a loop displaying the apple logo for 3-4 seconds and then going black, over and over and over in an endless loop. I unplugged it, allowed the battery to die and then plugged it back in and let it sit alone for about 30 minutes, after which it worked fine for another week.

    Then today happened. My phone once again runs out of battery so I go to plug it in. It starts doing the apple loop again so I do what I did last time, let it die and then plug it in and leave it alone. But this time it doesn't stop doing the apple logo loop until randomly, it goes to the screen that shows that it needs to be plugged into the computer and backed up. I figure this is no issue as I have backups on my PC so I go to plug it in and attempt to update the OS but to no avail. The only solution, according to ITunes, was to factory reset and update the OS. I'm saddened but I do it anyways. After installing a 3.98G file, presumably the OS, it then went to install it but after a minute or so of a blue bar loading on my PC, it displayed an error, something to the effect of "Your device could not be restored because the firmware is corrupt, please unplug and try again." After that, I took to the internet because I was very confused. What I found was more confusing as all the suggested solutions to the error were to restore the IPhone, the very action that led to the error in the first place.

    I have absolutely no idea what to do to fix this, I hard reset the phone (Vol. Up, Vol. Down, Power) and it's back to doing the apple logo loop. I will say this is not an isolated incident, my sister experienced the exact same problem due to what we thought was water damage, though this calls that into question. Is there any solution to get my phone working again?

    Just bought a new Macbook Air (2020), where's my iTunes Music?

    I have a huge iTunes library on my last macbook air (2012) running High Sierra--maybe 15,000 songs collected from my teen years. I saved my iTunes info, music library and all information on an external drive and my Music folder, and followed the instructions on apple.com.

    I know there is a new Music App (I dont subscribe to Apple Music) but want to know how to open my old library. I can find individual songs on my hard drive in the iTune library folder, but I can find a way to load my old library. I thought it was the "iTunesMusicLibrary.xlm" file but it doesn't open anything than mayb 1000 songs I had purchased that are all in the cloud (show cloud icon), none of my music, playlists, or ratings can be found.

    Do I have to manually add all my old music again, including meta data?

    I no longer have my old macbook.

    Can someone help me. i am struggling to install macOS Sierra on iMac from Os X 10.8. 5. it comes with an error the installer payload failed singnature check. i tried every solution on the internet. Date check everythingis ok . Even it is not accepting the Os X 10.9.4. I have tried with New SSD.

    Ever since 2 days days ago my friends messages aren't showing. It's only that one person and it's showing it as read even though I haven't opened the message at all (btw alert are turned on). Anyone know a fix please. I would rlly appreciate it

    Can’t erase SSD on Big Sur

    I'm trying to uninstall Big Sur and reinstall Catalina do to some issues I'm having with various application on the beta. But I'm having trouble erasing the SSD. Whenever I click on erase I change the name and I press erase, but nothing happens at all, the same dialogue box stays up, but the screen isn't frozen. If anyone has any advice please let me know.

    Guys its looking like my iPhone battery would be dead soon. Because its progressively turning off at higher percentages

    I've got an iPhone 6s Plus (2017). Currently its going off at around 90%. I don't know how accurate it is but using iBackupBot, i've seen that my phone has crossed about 652+ full charge cycles. Its condition is pretty bad now and i need my phone everyday, its kinda stressful to have it plugged in always. There aren't any Apple Stores nearby and none of them are gonna open for a while now

    So i asked my friend to help me out with this. Luckily there is a store where they sell third party batteries for iPhone. Looks like i've got no other choice. What my question is that would my phone be fine with a third party battery? Its coming with around a 6 month warranty. And they'd replace the battery for me.

    Similarly can i exchange my iPhone with a newer one from Apple in future? Or would they deny it because i've got a third party battery? I don't mind the extra costs incurred, because this is a pretty old phone and i don't expect them to pay a lot in exchange. I just want to know whether they'd take it or not.

    iPhone auto brightness won't go above 50%

    Hey all, I've been having a really weird issue lately. When I'm outside the screen is really hard to see and it turns out that auto brightness seems to never go above 50% or so. I've tried resetting the auto brightness by turning it off, having phone in dark room, manually sliding the brightness slider to min etc but it will not recalibrate. I can turn the brightness up manually so that it's really bright but auto refuses to work. Any ideas?

    MacBook won't show up in the "Find My" App

    For some reason, my MacBook won't show up in the Find My app (I checked on my iPhone and the MacBook itself). I'm using the same Apple ID on both devices, Find My Mac is enabled in iCloud, and I enabled Location Services for Find My in the privacy settings.

    What's weird is that on my MacBook, Find My is checked off in iCloud, but when I look on my phone, it says Find My is turned off for my MacBook.

    Any suggestions?

    Make iphone 11 pro keyboard buttons bigger?

    hey, i switched from an iphone 8 plus to an iphone 11 pro today and it's been great except for the keyboard buttons which are kinda tiny and annoying to press, especially after getting so used to the 8 plus's huge keyboard buttons. is there any way to make the keyboard buttons bigger and get rid of the empty, wasted space in between the keys or am i out of luck? thanks for any help.

    Lenovo USB C to VGA Adapter stopped working after Catalina 10.15.6 Update

    Hi all,

    I just today upgraded to 10.15.6 on my MacBook Pro, and it for some reason killed support for my Lenovo USB-C to VGA Adapter. There was never an official driver for this, it was plug and play and worked quite well, however all a sudden I have lost the ability to recognize the monitor properly, it will seem to lock up all my displays and stuff.

    Any tips? I have tried multiple reboots. Nothing is seeming to work.
