| Blue glitching on screen while using camera or playing video Posted: 06 Jun 2020 02:51 AM PDT This might be an old problem but I'm having some trouble with my phone and with the above. It's near constant when the camera is on. Screen recording : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1khu_NDJQ_5Uy5stH6e_1ji2f1ok0yeqR It also shows up when using maps in an app, for example on a house searching app, viewing them on the map view creates the blue glitch effect again. Thing is I swear it never did this automatically and it shows my Bluetooth earphones as an option even if they're not on! It's annoying, I just want to make a call and use my iPhone or if I have my Bluetooth earphones on I expect it to automatically choose that instead. Is this a bug or something? | Can’t restore iPhone 6 Plus not even in DFU mode Posted: 05 Jun 2020 09:20 PM PDT I'm officially lost on this one. I have this device that's stuck in a boot loop. It's a iPhone 6 Plus. I can put it into recovery mode and after 2 minutes it restarts. Even if I try restoring it in ITunes it restarts and This makes the update fail. Now I thought why don't I try DFU mode. Good news is it doesn't restart in 2 minutes. Bad news is when I start the restore it gets to about 20% (about 2 minutes) and restarts! | Breaking the sync between my iPhone and my laptop Posted: 05 Jun 2020 04:29 PM PDT A practical problem: The shortcuts that I created for my text keyboard is showing up as I type on my laptop. The result is causing typos and delaying what used to be a nice quick shortcut. Every time I update my phone to be text-friendly, my laptop follows, and vice versa. I've tried breaking the sync in settings, but I'm not very familiar with what I'm doing. I never sync'd them on purpose; just one day they began merging information in an incomplete way. It's very frustrating. Solution needed: How to break the sync between my devices's keyboards? More information: My computer is a MacBook Pro from 2013, in really great shape, running Mojave. | Can't send SMS from second iPhone even though text message forwarding is turned on Posted: 05 Jun 2020 06:00 AM PDT I'm not able to send SMS messages from a second iPhone (no SIM but signed into same iCloud account) even though I have text message forwarding to it turned on in my main iPhone's Messages settings. I can receive the texts on the second phone, but can't send. It will try for a while before giving me a message send failure message. What's a potential cause of this? I have an iphone 7 and when i plug my earphones in, NO sound comes through the earphones and instead comes through the speaker.. Charging works just fine. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I should imagine the issue is with the chip or what ever its called that connect the earphones to the phone is screwed? Can it actually be fixed my someone if it is hardware? (I have spoke with Apple on the chat and i've tried a restart, tried turning up the volume button on the earphones themselves when they are plugged in and had nothing, they have just said to get it sent off) And definitely not earphones, I've tried this with lots of other pairs [link] [comments]  |

However, when I clicked on contacts, it had contacts saved from a phone I had more than three years ago, which was before I made this current iCloud account as I no longer know the password for it. I did sign into my outlook email on mail, and it's also the email I had on the old Apple ID that would have had these contacts saved to it, does anyone know if this is a reason? | Followup to Earlier post - iPhone 7 won't turn on Posted: 05 Jun 2020 12:06 PM PDT I have an iphone 7, it finally gave up last week, wouldn't turn on anymore. I tried DFU and the phone died in the middle of the process. Upon recommendations from this page, I ordered a new battery. I've repaired phones in the past so I had a good idea of what I was doing. Installed new battery today, after about an hour's charge, I plugged it into iTunes, where the DFU process worked as expected. I downloaded a whole software update but now the phone won't turn on at all, won't respond to hard reset or DFU. What's going on? Do I need to wait for the battery to fully charge maybe? | Posted: 05 Jun 2020 09:50 AM PDT I run the Speed Test in my phone to see that it is apparently receiving 450 Mbps in download internet speed. Why might the internet very slow? For example, when browsing social media like Instagram, it often won't load pages or comments. I'll have to exit and then re-enter those pages. For some reason, on multiple streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+) will not autoplay to the next episode. I've researched issues with the individual apps, and have made sure that autoplay is enabled on each one. I've looked in the iPhone settings of the app just to see if anything related to it is there, but didn't see anything. Has anyone here encountered anything similar, or have any ideas? It's been a long time since I last owned an iOS phone and I forgot that unlike Android, iOS has a lot of limitations on what files you can access on the phone. I am currently using iTunes and the File Sharing option to try to access files and while I can see a list of file sharing apps as well as the root directory for each file sharing app...I am not able to drill down and open any of the folders/sub directories to add or copy files inside of the folders. I can however add or copy files and folders on the root level. Why does Apple allow access to the root directory for each file sharing app to add or copy files or folders but then restricts us from opening the folders in order to add or copy files inside of the folders? | Screen not lighting up bug on iOS13 Posted: 05 Jun 2020 04:38 AM PDT When I call someone my screen goes black immediately and wont light back up even if I'm not holding it to my ear. When I press the lock button, it lights up for 1 second and then goes black again. I'm not sure if it's a software bug or just the proximity sensor. Anyone else having this problem? Also, sometimes my notifications won't light up the screen, it just plays the sound and when I press the lock button the notification is there. I've been having this problem for a few months now and it's gotten to the point where I wanna smash this thing because I need to take pictures for work, so I appreciate all the help I can get! Okay info, I read the rules about info and I think I have everything but sorry if it's not perfect! I have an iPhone 8 running a 13.5 iOS. I have one update available but I don't have WiFi at my house so I always update my phone at my dads. Sometimes it takes a while for me to update the phone and I'll miss some of the updates, but that's normal and I've always done that with my iPhones. The problem started a few months ago and I've done two big iOS downloads since (that skipped some of the downloads) and the first download remedied my problem for like 3 days then it didn't work again & the next download didn't help at all with the camera. The problem is that my main camera is completely black, no image, no sounds, can't take a picture, can't take a video, can't use my flashlight. I've tried the camera when my phone was both locked and opened & in other camera apps like Snapchat. My selfie camera does show images and I can take a picture most of the time like that, but it often will take a few pictures, freeze up the frame and then "refresh" itself but the pictures are gone. I've tried most of the random things you can find on google like turn it off and back on and delete this and reinstall etc. Of course I would love an easy magic solution to fix this without taking it somewhere but I'll do it if I have to.
