    Hello there,

    I would like to answer some common and basic FAQ regarding Apple Store re-openings during COVID19

    Please don't hesitate to ask more questions below which I will endeavour to answer and update the post.

    There is an Apple store open near me, Can I go there?

    The availability of open Apple stores will be updated on the website, however if it is not a confirmed hardware fault with your device you could be encouraged to contact Apple Care.

    ​

    What type of appointments are the open Apple Stores taking?

    They can only facilitate hardware issues and Apple Online Orders currently.

    I paid for something on the Apple Online Store, Can I pick it up at the Apple Store?

    Yes! Of course you can. Please follow the advise you may have been given by email, you will be subjected to a temperature check on entry of the store and a mask will be required. If you do not have one, the Store may supply one buy please do not rely on them providing one due to stock levels.

    What is my Apple Store doing to protect me?

    The Apple Stores which are eligible to open have integrated systems to check your temperature before you enter the store as well as requiring masks for entry. If you do not have a mask, the Apple Store may supply one. Please do not rely on the store supplying a mask due to inventory levels.

    I cant book an appointment online for the Apple store! Can I just walk in?

    Unfortunately, due to the high demand of the stores, you can understand that the appointments available are booking out quite fast. Please be patient, they are doing their best. If you do decide to walk in, you will be turned away due to your governments restrictions. Please try to contact Apple Care first.

    I do not consent to my temperature being checked.

    Unfortunately the Apple stores are only following the government regulations and restrictions implemented, but we are looking after your safety and other customers safety. If you do not consent that is totally okay, however you may not be allowed entry.

    What are my other options? If I dont go to an Apple Store?

    Well, we do have quite a few options depending on your issue and device! There are Apple Authorised Service providers which are just as equivalent to an Apple store. We also have a few Mail in options available through Apple Care too.

    What exactly can Apple Care do?

    Apple Care is our phone/chat support which can do just as much as an Apple store! They can solve 80% of the issues you encounter. They also can provide you with estimates of cost with hardware issues. (Please note; Hardware costs are only an estimate, depending on the inspection done by an Apple Employee in person)

    iPhone 11 Pro Max out of warranty already?

    I recently purchased a iPhone 11 Pro Max used off of Swappa. I've never had any issues with buying phones there before until today.

    I received the phone, put my sim in and set everything up. Everything works perfectly but when I went to double check the warranty on apple's website it's telling me that both phone support and the one year warranty has expired.

    In the listing it showed that the warranty would be good until April of next year. I asked the seller about it but he told me that he wasn't sure why it showed that and that it gave him the April date when he looked it up. This person has a lot of positive feedback so I'm not sure that he's trying to scam me.

    Has anyone heard of this before? Even if the phone was purchased on release day it shouldn't be past the one year warranty. I plan on calling Apple tomorrow to see what they say but wanted to see if anyone here has ran across this problem before.

    2020 MBP 10th i5 & LG 5k. Will it work?

    Will the internal graphics be able to handle the 5k display?

    Skightly newer games always crash before I can use them

    On my iPad mini 2 many of the games are crashing before they can be played. Two examples of this are #Drive and Legends of Runescape. Is there a reason that these games keep quiting? The iOS is 12.4.6

    iPhone 11 Pro Max getting warm when charging

    My iPhone 11 Pro Max gets warm at the bottom half of the screen area while charging and was wondering if that's normal? I don't use it while it's charging and I am also using the 18W charger that's included.

    Do apps transfer to another Apple ID if you change it?

    I was wondering if I logged out of my apple ID from my phone then used my friend's ID for the app store and itunes, if they would be able to see my apps downloaded and songs with my apple id. Don't ask why just, you know... Thank you!

    My 2018 MBP’s camera constantly shows that it’s not detected, but a NVRAM reset makes it work sometimes. Is there any permanent fix to this, or is something broken?

    Problems with Safari and Reddit

    Since a couple of months I have some troubles using reddit with my Safari browser. Often I see the same images in multiple posts on the front page. Clicking on headlines also sometimes does not take me to the post intended. These problems do not occur on any other website, the browser does seem generally slow though. I have deleted all caches, even run the complete update to Catalina on my macbook air, but still nothing has changed. Does anyone know, what the issue is?

    I bought an unlocked iPhone 7 Plus from an Amazon refurbish seller a while back and used it for about a year. Now I want to sell it but I'm not sure if it remains unlocked or if it locks to the provider I've been using.

    Are 2010 era Mac Pros still useful?

    Hi All,

    Ive long been interested in trying out the MacOS ecosystem as a long time windows user, but I didn't want to spend the $1500 plus it would take to get a new Macbook with decent specs.

    I just discovered that 2010 era Mac Pros can be found used online for roughly ~350$. Usually including 32 GB of Ram, an SSD, and dual or quad core 2.5 GHz processors (Although Zeon).

    This seems like a great deal. Am I missinng anything? Anything I should be aware of before I pull the trigger?

    Granted it wont be a thin mobile laptop, but Desktop is fine with me. Ill mostly use it for web surfing, videos, a little software development, and learning Mac OS.

    How to remove these Google Now notifications

    Google Now has somehow learned that I like to hear about new album releases related to Nature Sounds. I like Google Now, but I can't find how to eliminate this particular type of notification. I do wish to continue to receive

    I've looked under settings >> interests, and there's nothing in there along that vein. I know I'm just being a dolt, but I don't see how yet!

    I have an iphone 7 that had around 1gb of ffee space that I backed up and wanted to update to ios13 (currently on 12.4). It seems the only way to resolve this error is to factory restore from itunes but my problem is that it wants to update to 13.4. Will I have issues restoring from backup if that backup was made today on ios 12.4?

    AirPod microphone not working for calls but works any other time!

    AirPod microphone problems

    So I made a stupid mistake and my left AirPod ended up in the washing machine. Once I took it out after realising, I put it back in the charging case thinking there's no way it will work, but it was recognised and actually showed me it still had 80% battery left. Tried it out and the sound is fine, absolutely no concerns there.

    My only issue is with the microphone! So after being in the washing machine, if the microphone didn't work at all it would make sense. But if I'm filming videos on my phone with my AirPod in, I'm presuming I'm speaking into the microphone in those right? I've played around with them both and put my right one in & my voice plays back fine & the same with my left one that been in the wash.

    However, when I ring someone they can't hear a word from my left AirPod. Why is it the microphone only works for videos and picks up any other time but a call?! I'm super confused and this doesn't make sense to me... if it works and picks up my voice on a video shouldn't it be the same concept for a phone call?

    I deleted 2tb of files from my movie folder to the trash and emptied them but the space did not go just turned to other , now i have no idea how to get this space back

    Just curious, any idea if i have a song that is in my download folder that i got offline am i able to move it to my music app ?

    I'm using a Chromebook and there is no way to get files from it to my iPhone.

    Made a password I couldn’t remember so I took it to a Apple provider and had them reset my phone. Lost all my photos. Any hope?

    I tried iCloud backup but none of the photos that were on my phone before reappeared after resetting it. Lost a few of my favorite pictures of my dog.
