Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:32 PM PDT I'm not sure if image is the correct terminology, but I just pre ordered an SE2 so my wife could upgrade from her 7S and it dawned on me, where can I transfer her old phone info to her new phone since all the apple/verizon stores are closed? | Help transferring long video to pc Posted: 17 Apr 2020 11:03 PM PDT Pretty much the title... I want to be able to get long videos from my iphone to my PC. With sound. I've tried emailing the video to myself, but because of the file size, I have to upload it to the cloud, and then only about half of it will download before it gives up. I've tried using simple transfer, and it transfers the video, but no sound. I've tried connecting with my lightning cable, but I can't open the folders on my iphone ( I remember back in the day I could just open the photo album folders and get my pics that way, but that seems to be impossible now). | I phone 7s lightning port loose Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:49 PM PDT The lightning port on my phone is very loose whenever I plug things in. A slight movement causes it to unplug. I have looked up stuff on the internet, most of them digesting to clear out any lint in the port, which I have done. There doesn't seem to be any lint or anything blocking it to cause this. I've even used a second charging cable to check if the issue was the cable but it was not. Any help as to what's wrong with my phone or what I can do to fix it? Thank you! [link] [comments]  |
| Play Music while Having Music App Locked Out Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:21 PM PDT Technically not an iPhone but I have an iPod Touch (6th gen) with iOS 12.4.6 and want to let my daughter use it to play music overnight without her being able to change the music (or get into other apps, for that matter). I've explored the parental controls a little, but it seems that it stops playing music at the same time it locks out access. Accepted update for software to the latest and it's now been frozen. Wife is starting to freak out. Phone is frozen on the startup logo and has been for over 2 hours... Already tried the vol up, down, right button for 15 second restart. Also tried plugging in to computer. Any ideas? Verizon, upgrading from 7 to 11pro. Any advice beyond appreciated! Posted: 17 Apr 2020 10:31 AM PDT When i updated to 13.4.1, in an open image the 'Edit' button in the photos app was on the lower part of the screen (between 'favorite' and 'delete'), day later its back in its old place (top right corner of the screen). | Posted: 17 Apr 2020 05:35 PM PDT I was trying to get back on my old iphone 6s to see some of my old photos. When I tried to turn it on, the apple logo just went on in off. I called Apple and they were able to turn it on by telling me to connect through iTunes. After doing that, they said they put all my old photos to iCloud but didn't realize the iCloud had no more storage in it. They said they didn't know how to get them back. Anybody know how to help? For some reason (I forget the problem I was having) I deleted one of my gmail accounts to try and reset it. It worked. But all of my notes appear to be gone to. In those notes where audio files with voicemails from people who are now gone. Are they gone for good, or is there a way to recover them? If so, what steps do I need to take? Thank you. | Posted: 17 Apr 2020 04:22 PM PDT My basic problem is that while at home, my phone constantly disconnects from WiFi - however there is no indication that internet connectivity is dropping. The icon remains connected but when I try to access any app that requires a connection, it will just try to load indefinitely until I turn the wifi off and then turn it back on. It is getting extremely frustrating and no other wireless devices in my home has the issue including my laptop, my wife's android or my old android phone that this phone replaced a month ago. I have tried numerous fixes online including resetting my wireless network settings, rebooting and resetting my router, setting the iphone as a priority device, and I even tried a factory reset but nothing has helped. Also tried disabling "smartsteering" on my router to see if the glitch was caused by the phone trying to switch between 2.4 and 5ghz but this did not help. I am on the latest iOS as well. Has anyone had a similar issue? The last thing I should mention is that I don't seem to have the issue on other wireless networks but that could also be because I am not constantly on them. The router I have is a Telus T3200 and I have 2 hubs to ensure wireless coverage is consistent throughout my home. Thanks for any advice! [link] [comments]  |

Also WiFi hotspot has never worked on my specific pc for again, no reason. My phone hotspot works fine with everything else. Any possible reason for these issues and how to fix them? But there are still a few files left that are not permanently deleting. I've tried to reboot my iPhone XR, and I've deleted and redownloaded the app, but the files are still there. The main thing I do on my smartphone is browse the internet, and I just can't do it without extensions. The android version of Firefox fully supports extensions- the same extensions that the desktop version of Firefox supports, such as AdBlock, Dark Reader, Bitwarden, HTTPS Everywhere, Cookie Autodelete and many more (and soon Brave browser will get extension support too). I know there are ways to block web ads on iPhone (are these methods free of charge though?), but do iPhones support extensions (or any alternative method) such as the above-mentioned? If you do not click on the links and immediately delete the calendar are your other emails, passwords, and auto logged in apps in danger?should I assume everything I have on my phone is compromised and start changing passwords? | Sporadically not receiving/being able to send SMS messages Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:30 AM PDT Hi all - I've been having an issue with my phone for probably 3 months or so now, on and off. I won't receive or be able to send any green texts for long periods of time. When I restart my phone, it temporarily fixes the issue but will reoccur typically within a day - which is frustrating since I won't know if/when I'm getting messages. This has happened in both areas of strong and weak signal, on wifi and not. I found a couple posts about similar issues, but not quite this and they were all from a while ago.
