Whenever I try and connect to my home WiFi my phone will not let me connect saying "No Internet Connection" my phone will connect to other WiFi and be perfectly fine although it will be a bit slow. Is it my phone or my internet? I have tried literally everything. I've factory reset, turned everything off and on. Reset network. Any ideas??? [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 04 Apr 2020 08:49 PM PDT Me and my girlfriend both have iPhones. When we text, they send blue iMessage bubbles. Today, randomly, she was sending me green text messages instead of iMessages. I could send iMessages back, and she could send iMessages to other people, but between us she could only send text messages. I don't know what happened or how to fix it; I've tried restarting my phone, turning iMessage on/off, as has she, and we can't seem to figure it out. [link] [comments]  |

| What is the best way to transfer photos? Posted: 04 Apr 2020 03:42 PM PDT I have had an iphone for a decade. I do not use iCloud for photos. I have a Windows 10 PC. I have always transferred photos by simply plugging in the phone and copy/pasting photos to my hard drive. However, for the past few years, this has been causing problems. I can only transfer a certain number of files before I get "a device attached to the system is not functioning". The first transfer usually gets the most data transferred. After that, I can disconnect and reconnect the phone and try again, and sometimes get a couple more files before the same error. I have had this on multiple computers with multiple iPhones. My best research indicates this is related to the HEIC to JPG conversion, but I don't want proprietary HEIC files as my backups. For years I have put up with it and simple backed up my phones bits at a time every day, but now that I just got a new phone with far more capacity, and high quality, I am taking more photos and long videos and I'm never going to catch up on transferring 20 files at a time. So I'm wondering if there's a different way people use to transfer photos to Windows 10. My main caveat is that it preserves the date and exif data of the original files. I am open to suggestions. Free would be ideal, though low-cost software is not out of the question. iTunes IS able to backup my phones, so I'm wondering if there's a convenient way to copy the photos out of my phone backup file (which doesn't require drivers and the phone to transfer) instead of the phone itself. If I call this person their phone rings the normal amount of times and goes to voicemail. However if I text them the iMessage isn't delivering and says sent as text message. I use my phone 70% for work, being the reason why I need a "beefy" spec'd phone. However, lately I've been having a hard time with freaking android upgrades, randomly disappearing contacts, apps freaking out, etc... Though my wife doesn't use her phone as heavy as I do for work (she has an iphone 8 plus) I have NEVER heard any complaints from her considering there are certain apps we use in common that are work related. Thus why I am seriously considering to move to iPhone. I have 20% visibility with one eye, dont take pictures but screen size is something I look for. This is why I am considering an iPhone XS Max, as much as I would like to I dont have the budget for an 11 pro Max :(. Is an XS Max a good option to consider for a move into iphone? I recently helped my mother in law get an iPhone 11 for her husband and I found it "interesting" but the 200 plus tax price difference from a used XS Max doesn't end up convincing me, Thoughts?! | Inherited iphone x from dead uncle Posted: 04 Apr 2020 08:39 AM PDT Hello my fellow redditers! I have an issue with the iphone x i inherited from my recently passed uncle. When i try to hard reset it with volume up, volume down, power button until reset, it only soft resets, and i cant use my iphone 7 plus to configure it without logging on to my uncles apple account. Is there any way to factory reset this phone? I tried to connect it to my itunes and reset it from there, but i could only partially reset it, and i cant seem to facory reset the device so that it gets wiped clean. I dropped my iPhone on my carpet teo nights ago and my phones made tiny crackles/ticking sounds since then every minute or so when in use. When I put my ear up to my phone, I can hear a wrring sound that sounds like the CPU? I'ce tested it in echoey areas and I can't hear the ticks snd neither can my parents...so I don't know if it's just me making up the sounds due to paranoia or if it something... Could it just need a quick trip to a store (when we're aloud to go to places again) to tighten something that could be loose? iPhone model: 8+ iOS version: 13.3.1 Steps taken: given it to parents to try out, they report not hearing the sound. Gone to rooms with no external sound and unable to hear anything and listen to music while my phone was on the counter with no variation in sound quality. [link] [comments]  |
| Screen time passcode rest not working from forgetting passcode. Posted: 04 Apr 2020 08:30 AM PDT The latest March update allows you to change your screen time passcode. I forgot mine. So I changed it . Once I put in my new screen time passcode it identified it as a failed attempt . I tried resetting by using forgot passcode again using my correct account info but it took it as correct but didn't allow me to change and it counted as another failed attempt. As of right now I'm waiting a hour now for it to reset. Any solutions or any other people facing this problem? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 04 Apr 2020 01:57 PM PDT Last week, my friend hit my iPhone XR a couple of times really hard using the palm of his hand and he put also some pressure on the iphone once, as if someone was sitting on it. He was wearing a thick ring. I had a protective case on the iPhone XR, which is shock-proof 3 meters. The case is called Sbs. Is the case strong enough to absorb the shock? Should I be worried?
