Here is my list: Less intrusive interface Across iOS some parts of the interface are intrusive, for example Siri or the Control Center. Access to them without interrupting what we are doing, would be great. Home screen I would like to see a desktop-like home screen, with the possibility to add files, photos, and more. Multiuser We need multiuser support on the iPad. It will be great if Apple uses Face ID and Touch ID for a more intuitive experience. Safari Safari on iPadOS is great, but we need a more complex browser, with plug-ins and more. Files Files continues lacking some features we have on Mac. Multitasking I would like a better integration with apps on multitasking. Also floating app windows. Property external monitor support Apps App Store has great apps, but it continues missing pro apps. Also I would like the possibility to install apps outside the App Store. I want a real desktop-like OS for the iPad but with a touch-based interface, preserving the essence of the iPad. Stickers on MK Posted: 29 Apr 2020 11:00 AM PDT Hello all, so I'm curious as to who among the people that have the Magic Keyboard or have ordered it, do you plan to put any stickers on it? I don't know how stickers would affect the polyethylene material of the keyboard but i also know that the material gets dirty and has wear and tear pretty easily so stickers would be an alternative to keep it from getting dirty. Disable touch input on iPad's default annotation tool Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:27 AM PDT You know when you take a screenshot or start annotating a website and you get the same tools that you would on Apple notes. Everything works fine except the fact that the software reads touch input and pen input as the same thing, so when I'm just trying to scroll I end up with random lines rather than actually scrolling. I wanted to remap my physical keys today, especially the Globe key. But this one key is missing from the options that are given to me, I can remap all modifier keys but it doesn't show the option for a globe key, it acts like I got no such key on my keyboard. Need good remote desktop app, Jump Desktop issues Posted: 29 Apr 2020 10:40 AM PDT I bought Jump Desktop and streamed from my Win10 PC to my iPad Pro. Connection speed was great, but NO AUDIO. I did some searching and people originally complained about this in 2018. The devs responded saying it's coming, please be patient....Well this is April 2020. So I requested a refund. Anyone setup Apple Business/Education for family sharing an iPad? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 12:15 PM PDT I have an iPad Pro on the way and I envision sharing the device with my family, especially letting my kids draw with the Pencil etc. It's an expensive premium device and I'm not buying one for each of them, they already have older/cheaper iPads. Of course I don't want them messing up my setup especially with access to sensitive work information while they're using it. Yes, I know Apple wants everyone to buy their own. There's technically a work-around for sharing an iPad, which started with Apple Education and supposedly now for Apple Business. Has anyone gone through the effort of setting this up for your family? Information on this seems rather limited especially the business side because it's new. Basically I'm trying to decide if it's worth the hassle of doing this or just creating a new AppleID just for the device and using that. Posted: 29 Apr 2020 09:01 AM PDT Hey there, I am using my iPad mainly as a main drawing device in Procreate / Fresco / Heavy Paint, but lately I find myself using it more and more for all the basic tasks. I have to admit that with everything going on the internet, I'd like iPad to become my primary computing device. I know I won't be able to do 3D modeling or After Effects that's where the PC comes in. But I'd love to know your thoughts on using Magic Keyboard or Smart Keyboard Folio with Apple Pencil for drawing. Do you use it as a stand and keyboard shortcuts or does it feel uncomfortable? Good notetaking apps that will work with the ancient iPad Mini 2? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:32 AM PDT We have an old iPad Mini 2 lying around the house. I'd love to convert it to a digital notebook for notetaking (e.g. work meetings, recipes, mini projects etc) but I'm not sure what app would work well with it. I'd like something that would be able to segment into different notebooks and possibly sync to other devices. Unfortunately the reviews I'm seeing now are mostly on Notability and GoodNotes which I think are better suited for the newer models - though I'm not quite sure. I also purchased some cheapass bluetooth keyboard and stylus for $7 which is on it's way to me. My only concern is managing audio files as I'd need to use it to sync my music to USBs. I'd still have a Mac at the studio, but if I'm gigging and need to sync on the fly, will it be difficult?
