Posted: 29 Apr 2020 05:41 AM PDT anyone know how to make the mirror app work with the health/activity app so it counts your mirror workout as a workout? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:48 AM PDT Never owned a cellular watch and it looks like verizon would charge 10$ extra a month to add it to the account, I'm wondering though could I just take the sim out of my iphone and put it in the apple watch? Or is it designed to use a different sim or something? I really only wanted cellular so when I go on long bike rides I can leave my phone at home. Not sure if that's worth the 120$ a year.. Can a Problem With the Watch Break the Charging Cable? Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:32 AM PDT Let me start by saying I know how ridiculous of a question this is. I'm a fairly technical person and thus, I am inclined to say the answer is no but... I posted this a few days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleWatch/comments/g8q65k/bricked_series_2/ After trying everything I could, I moved forward with the assumption that the seal had failed, the watch was bricked, and I would have to get another. Not having had any issues with the speed/features of my Series 2, and not having the funds to justify spending ~$400 on getting a new Series 5, I decided to pick up a new Series 3 yesterday. I figure it's a slight upgrade, while still allowing me to use the screen protectors I already have a bunch of. Using the new charging cable that came with the Series 3, I got it charged up and ready to go yesterday afternoon. Then, when it was time for bed, I took it off and put it on the charger next to my bed, as I always did with the Series 2. I woke up this morning to the new watch only being at 53%. Confused, I popped it on and off the charger a few times and realized it wasn't charging. Just to make sure it wasn't the watch itself, I popped it on the new cable downstairs and it charged just fine. I am 100% sure the (now broken) Series 2 was fully charged the morning I took it off the charger before going for a swim and thus, that the charging cable was working. Logic would dictate that the broken watch couldn't somehow break the charging cable but... the coincidence of both failing just seems odd. Is there any possible way that, whatever failed with the Series 2, somehow killed the cable itself after I left it on it for 4+ hours to attempt to restore it that day? I can't see how but... As a side note, I've had the Series 2 on the new charging cable for about 20 minutes now and the watch is indeed getting warm as it typically would when charging, yet still doesn't turn on using all the possible methods (so yes the Series 2 does seem to be bricked). Apple Watch w/ Cellular for a kid Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:31 AM PDT My sister wants to get my niece a smart watch for her birthday (8) and add it to her tmobile account. Its a big ugly android for kids watch that I think will fall out of favor fast. I was thinking for the same price she could get an excellent condition refurb apple watch series 3 w/ cellular on ebay. My questions are: [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 07:15 AM PDT Is the Apple Care (50$) worth paying 25% of the cost of the Series 3 GPS watch (200$)? I've always been one to buy Apple Care with my devices but this ratio seems a bit much considering the price of the watch itself in 2020. Any advice? Is it worth it to buy with AppleCare? I plan on tracking my workouts and daily activity with it, nothing too crazy. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:36 AM PDT I have a AW series 5. Just got it last week and love it. Still learning and adjusting to it. I am having trouble with the Siri raise to speak, it does not work. My watch is updated, I went into settings and the Raise to Speak is enabled. I disabled it and the re-enabled it and still not working. I read how you are supposed to activate it but still no success. Is this a glitch? Anyone else having problems? Anyone resolve this problem? Thanks [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Apr 2020 06:35 AM PDT I'm back on my Apple Watch and loving it but noticed that the option to have sound from watch and phone has gone. Is there another way to make this happen now or is it just not available anymore [link] [comments] |
