| Posted: 04 Apr 2020 03:13 AM PDT I recently bought a soundbar to improve my TV's sound. I connected this device via Bluetooth with my Apple TV. For some reason my Apple TV creates a second AirPlay audio device as soon as the soundbar is connected (I am not sure if that's the right way to call it, but here is a picture). As you can see in the pictures the first tab is called „Creative Stage" (the name of the soundbar manufacturer) and the second tab is called Apple TV but offers two separate Apple TV options although I only have one Apple TV. I used this Apple TV in another room before and connected it via AirPlay to a Hi-Fi system (the one you can still see in the first picture, RX-710D). While they were connected the Apple TV didn't create this second tab in the AirPlay audio menu. Any idea why this is and how I could „fix" it or set it up differently? Thank you! | Posted: 03 Apr 2020 11:02 PM PDT I noticed tonight that EPIX has shown up in my TV app as a channel I subscribe to. The problem is I have never purchased this, not even a trial. It does not show up in my Apple ID account subscriptions or in Family Sharing. No one in my family purchased this either. I do not subscribe to Epix in any other app either. It all just works. I can watch any program I want, download it, and watch live. I am chatting with Apple Support and they have no clue. Doesn't show up on my account anywhere. Yet it's on all my devices, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. No billing. No payment. Nothing. Did I just get a free channel haha? I'm not complaining, I just don't want to get billed for this someday. Posted: 03 Apr 2020 04:43 PM PDT I taught my remote the tv remote to change the volume but am now using a sound bar so taught it that instead. Except it still remembers the tv so when I change the volume it does so on the sound bar but pops up an annoying message on the tv about volume not working (I turned tv speakers off to use the sound bar). | Posted: 03 Apr 2020 12:54 PM PDT My keyboard works the same as always for all apps on my apple TV gen4 except for YouTube, where it no longer works. I've unpaired, restarted, unplugged, etc, and still no love. I even deleted and reloaded the app (V 2.04.05, November, 2019). Any more ideas? It has stopped working in youtubetv also. You heard the news about 200hrs of free content in HBO offered first time outside paywall? Don't be happy. Another case is History Vault - it's offering 1 month free trial to archive content of History - again only in USA. As far as I am concerned Sundance Now also offered 1 month free trial only in USA. Next week I am going to file official complain to EU Commissioner for Competition (also include the case of MUBI that is not offered as Apple Channel in EU) And don't even try to defend HBO here because you will pay more for Ghibli movies in service that haven't launched yet instead of having them in Netflix like civilised world has :) [link] [comments]  |
