    Im on iOS 13.3.1. Im trying to limit my data use so I've turned off the data usage for some specific apps which uses the most like Facebook, Instagram, etc. As I'm writing this post, the cellular data has been turned off for Reddit, yet when I open Reddit it doesn't show the normal pop up of "Cellular Data has been turned off for Reddit. Open Settings". Seems like some apps can bypass that restriction and access the internet. I have seen that other apps like Facebook, Instagram even Spotify does the same.

    Is anyone aware of this bug or knows what's going on ? Btw, this post was published with cellular data turned off for Reddit.

    [Question] How to Type to Siri in Spotlight?

    I noticed online that there was an ask Siri button in spotlight at some point. I am on the latest version and I do not have this button. I also have noticed that sometimes ask Siri suggestions show up in the suggested searches in spotlight. Did Apple remove the dedicated ask Siri button or do I need to turn it on somewhere in settings? I am new to iOS 13.

    Transfer google photos to icloud photos

    Any way to do it without killing yourself? I tried 'takeout' but some photos have the same name so you cannot easily import them without overwriting them and losing many.

    I kind of hate the changes iOS 13.4 made to Screen Time

    This is just a rant...

    iOS 13.4 made some pretty significant changes to Screen Time. There are 2 things I've noticed.

    1. You can easily turn off the Screen Time passcode by choosing to change or turn off Screen Time passcode and then "forgot passcode" then you just need to put in your Apple ID and it turns it off.
    2. If you have Downtime set and have a schedule for when you want your phone to "turn off" you can now just "ignore limits" for the whole day. It used to be you could ask for more time and it would give you a minute but then the app would be blocked at the end of that 1 minute unless you knew the Screen Time Passcode. Now you can just ignore for the whole day.

    Again, this is just a rant but as a parent who uses Screen Time to help limit and control what's on my kids phones this seems like a backwards step for Apple and Screen Time. If I have time limits setup for apps on my kids phones now they can just ignore the limit which totally defeats the purpose.

    Hello!

    I am on iOS 13.4 on an iPhone 7 Plus.

    There are several issues which are all network related and may or may not be connected:

    1. WhatsApp Background refresh doesn't work reliably. It has all the permissions, but still doesn't notify me without opening it first.
    2. My wifi connection at home often takes a long time to get going on every request. I often turn off wifi then and use the cellular connection.
    3. Connecting to an ATV 3 sometimes goes smoothly and sometimes needs a few attempts. It seems like switching Airplay to the ATV first and then opening Youtube works better, but also not all of the time.
    4. I have a shortcut to a smart home visualisation in my Springboard. Sometimes it says it can't reach the server when I open it, but when I open the exact same link directly in Safari it works every time. Not sure, if that phenomenon is similar to two, where on the first attempt simply times out and the second one gets through. Might thus be nothing springboard related, but an issue of perception.

    My wife doesn't have any of those issues and she uses the same Wifi, of course (iPhone 11, iOS 13.3.1). I have had those issues before the last iOS version as well, since a few iterations, really. The mobile has been restarted many times, the router as well.

    The only hint I found so far was in the WhatsApp FAQ (can't find it back though). They said, that if all the settings don't help, I should reset my phone to factory settings. But then I must not reinstall from a backup, as the error would come back that way. I don't really feel like setting everything up again.

    Any other ideas?

    iPhone overheat IOS 13.4

    Hello everyone, After I updated my iPhone XS to IOS 13.4 my phone has been over heating so much, and specifically bellow my camera area. Does anyone know why and how I can reduce this?

    Which iPad should I buy?

    Hey there. So I've thought of getting a tablet for myself to play games, & my girlfriend wants it for casual things. I want the Pro line because of its USB C charger, since this is my first Apple product & our household currently has an S9/S20. My budget is around $600, so I've been debating between the 1st gen or 2nd. I don't care about cameras, mainly just functionality & reliability. I've heard many claims of Apple nerfing its older products through each iOS update, forcing people to buy their new things so that worrys me. Any help is appreciated, thanks a ton(:

    Updating discontinued app

    A while back I had bought Scrabble for the iPhone, then when I got an iPad about a year ago I downloaded it.

    I fired up the iPad today and it says Scrabble has an update but it's also been discontinued. Can I remove the update flag? Or is that annoying red number going to be on that icon forever? This is stock iPad no mods.

    I recently updated to IOS 13.4 and now I cant use VR on any browers. I get an error "Motion not supported. IOS 13.4 has a bug that disables motion controls." Does anyone know if this will get fixed in the upcoming 13.4.5 update?

    Looking for a full shell charger case for iPhone 7 Plus

    Haptic Touch issue

    So I've had my iPhone 8 for a couple years now. No issues at all, and I have the newest iOS 13.4

    I've always been able to 3D Touch, and now Haptic Touch photos online. Meaning, if I wanted to Haptic Touch a specific photo online so I could see it in its full/original size on a new tab, I was able to do it. Now, all of a sudden I can't. I haven't been able to for a couple days now. I checked my settings under Accessibility>Touch and everything looks normal. Anyone have any insight as to what's preventing me from doing that anymore?     How can I make the calendar app stop showing birthdays for someone?

    I had a family member pass away, and I don't want to delete their contact or remove their birthday from their contact, but I don't need a reminder each year moving forward. So is there a way I can say no more birthdays?
