Posted: 02 Mar 2020 03:58 AM PST At the Keynote launch even for the 4th gen Apple TV in September 2015, Apple said the screensavers would "automatically play just the day or night shots depending on your time of day." You can see them mention it here at the 8:04 mark in the video. However, this has never worked for me. I'm wondering if anyone else ever got it to work. With the advent of the space and underwater aerials, it seems like this is probably not a feature (if it ever was). [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 01 Mar 2020 10:59 PM PST I have a Vizio tv and it prompts me on my iPhone to enter the passcode on the tv screen. I enter the 4-digit code and click enter. It then pops right back up asking me to enter the 4-digit passcode again. It just keeps repeating and never actually plays! Please help. [link] [comments]  |

| 2019 LG TV SimpLink (HDMI-CEC) volume control not working Posted: 01 Mar 2020 01:05 PM PST I just purchased a 2019 LG tv(version that has homekit). I've talked to Lg support and they said it supports volume control via CEC. I talked to Apple support and they said LG simplink works for volume control via CEC and they are not aware of any issue with my model tv not working for CEC volume control. I have an Apple hdmi cable and I did try one other cable as well. I've updated my tv to latest software. I factory reset the Apple TV. I'd give up, but both Apple and LG support say it should work. Has anyone else had issues with using hdmi-cec for volume control with an Apple TV(non 4K version)? [link] [comments]  |

Everytime I try to sign in, it says Before you can sign in on the web, first sign in to the Apple TV app on your phone or iPad. On a computer, sign in to Apple TV or iTunes. None of that works. | Posted: 01 Mar 2020 12:08 PM PST Yesterday I searched for a song on AppleTV, found it, pressed play - expecting a 30 second preview like I've seen on iTunes. Instead I was treated to the entire album. Being suspicious of the generous nature of Apple, I went into Settings to check any subscriptions that might all of a sudden exist. I was not surprised to learn that my "gift" was the result of my free Apple Music Trial that would automatically renew and charge my iTunes balance. Free Trial cancelled on the spot. No "agreement", no "warning", absolutely no indication of this happening at all. Not impressed. Edit: Several comments indicate doubt about my statement. I've discussed this with the only other person who could have activated this, my wife, who has not agreed to any trial. I've also checked my email account for any email from Apple and they're is nothing about an Apple Music Trial. Finally I'm a self employed IT consultant with about 40 years experience, I know what agreeing to a trial looks like. Edit 2: My iTunes purchase history shows an Apple Music subscription and a refund for the same on 22 February. This is making less and less sense the deeper I dig. [link] [comments]  |
