Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:57 PM PST Hello everyone! Back in November I finally made the switch from PC to Macbook. I bought myself a refurbished Mid-2013 11" Macbook Air. It was a VERY cheap $200 from Back Market. Let me just say that I'm upset I didn't make the switch sooner. I love this Macbook. It preforms perfectly, and the only cosmetic issue is that the upper lid of the Macbook won't stay in place if tilted, but that's a small price for a wonderful computer. Has anyone else bought their Macbook refurbished? What was your experience? Has anyone bought from Back Market? I've bought two items from them and they were both fantastic. Has anyone had a negative experience? [link] [comments]

Do anybody why there is horizontal dark lines in screen of Macbook pro 2017? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 12:18 PM PST It is like 1.2 cm lines and the weird thing about this dark line is like if i don't use computer for 2-3 days and open laptop it disappears. But after using 3-4 hour it appears slowly lol and reaches up to 1.2 cm and stops lol. At first I thought it was monitor issue but later as after leaving 2-3 days lines disappears and monitor work perfectly I thought there would be some sms or some issue. Tried resetting it but nothing works. Keyboard issue is already there now this :( [link] [comments]

Apple Retina display extended repair (Macbook Pro Early-2015) Posted: 26 Feb 2020 09:34 AM PST Does anyone know if this is still going on? I'm looking to buy a used Macbook Pro Early 2015 model but many of them have this display issue. Apple usually has a website with the extended service for defective components but I can't find it for the anti-reflective coating issue. [link] [comments]
My mac keeps vibrating and making weird noises. Posted: 26 Feb 2020 01:03 PM PST So i have this macbook air late 2010 that has been working fine until recently, one day i turned it on and suddenly it started to vibrate alot and make these weird noises that kind of sound like a broken fan or something was going on, it will switch between this and just a normal fan noise every once in a while and it's weird. MacBook Pro (2015) good enough for school & photo editing? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 08:46 AM PST Hey guys, I'm looking to get a MacBook Pro 13" Retina from 2015, as it's fairly decent priced (500€). It has a dual core i5 (2.7GHz), 8GB RAM and an SSD. A big reason I would get a MacBook is, that I now have an iPhone and it would be cool to seemlessly AirDrop images to my phone for Instagram. Also, it has a Retina display -> sharp and colour is accurate. I would like to know your standpoint. I am a bit worried about Lightroom performance. [link] [comments]
Battery - Apple Support, 3rd party or by myself Posted: 26 Feb 2020 07:09 AM PST My battery in my Macbook Pro 13" Retina (early 2015) is reaching its final stage of its life. The battery is really bad and I am looking for a new, fresh one to swap it with. What would you recommend for switching this? Go to Apple Support (which I assume will the the most costly alternative), 3rd party down the street or order a battery and try to swap it by myself? Note: I have never replaced a battery in a similar computer and have quite a little experience from similar stuff. Also, is there any other downsides that I should consider if I were to go with one of the latter two ones? Quality of battery? Risk for explosion? I am also in great need of replacing my iPhone 7 Plus battery and I guess the same question applies to that one too. [link] [comments]
Tile Window no longer working after turning off Displays Have Separate Spaces Posted: 26 Feb 2020 06:14 AM PST Tile Window is incredibly useful, Displays Have Separate Spaces is incredibly annoying. Why are these two things linked? [link] [comments]
Battery causing logic board damage? Posted: 26 Feb 2020 04:36 AM PST I've got an old late-2011 MacBook Pro that I've had two NewerTech battery replacements in the last 12 months. A problem came up with the first battery when it stopped charging last November, and I've had to run the MacBook off mains power since then. The NewerTech reseller sent me a replacement battery and that didn't charge either. I installed the replacement battery in early January, no joy with that charging either. I took the machine in for repair and they claim that there is logic board damage and charged me £250 for their repair. The repair lasted about a week and the fault returned, I've just dropped it off again for the second time (under warranty) and the repair guys say there's another fault that needs to be examined. I really doubt that it could be the logic board because the Mac runs fine off mains power with the battery disconnected, and I find it quite hard to believe that a replacement battery of the reputed standard that NewerTech replacement parts purport to be of could be causing the issues, and the fact it worked flawlessly for a good nine months before it stated exhibiting charging issues. Is what the repair people are telling correct? They seem quite adamant that the problem lies with battery, but can't understand why two different batteries are causing the same problem. Given the age of the Mac and the fact that support ends for it this coming September or thereabouts, I know that I'm pretty much looking at getting a new MacBook, I'm just curious/borderline frustrated that I seem to going around in circles with the repairs. Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:52 AM PST Is there any way to retrieve accidentally deleted files from the mac? Time Machine didn't work, no backup set up. File not in the bin although it was not emptied as well.. I used the option+command+delete key when I deleted the photo but I wanted to put it back but I couldn't find it anywhere, not in the recently deleted or in the bin. Could it still be recovered?? Badly need help! [link] [comments] |
