Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:50 AM PST I bought an iPad (the cheapo $329 one) and an apple pencil this week, specifically to do Zoom.us with sidecar on my macbook pro running catalina for work, and it's been horribly unreliable, crashing out of sidecar as many as 20 times in an hour. here are the steps to reproduce: Run Zoom on the Mac Connect to SideCar Put SideCar onto the iPad and put into full screen. Enable annotation in Zoom Wait 1-5 minutes The iPad dumps back to the desktop & after 2-3 seconds the Mac fades out, then fades back in, and sidecar is disabled. Sometimes this happens as quickly as a minute, sometimes it goes 15-20 minutes without issue, but it's usually right around 5 minutes. Is this a known issue? Is the basic iPad not powerful enough to handle Sidecar? Should I return the iPad or blame the mac? Do different apps behave differently in sidecar? Should I avoid using full screen? | How to sync ebooks between iCloud and Books automatically? Posted: 05 Jan 2020 11:16 AM PST So, I save my epubs and pdfs in iCloud. I usually go to the Files app and individually select and share it to open with Books (note: can't select multiple ebooks and share at once in Books, only one gets shared) or transfer over a wired connection via iTunes since I'm on Windows. Is there a way to automatically sync between iCloud and Books (library)? I'm on iPadOS 13.3 if that matters. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 05 Jan 2020 07:48 AM PST I just got the newest 2019 iPad, the cheapest one. I easily transferred all my apps and pics but not one contact. I tried different ways apple suggests but the data won't transfer. I'm tech savvy at work but this personal tech gets me all nervous. I was shocked how the data flew over with Bluetooth turned on. I also tried iCloud.com where I had no contacts. There has to be another way. Oh my phone is 7+. Only contacts are not transferred. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 05 Jan 2020 05:56 AM PST https://imgur.com/gallery/U4UJPin updated link as my initial post on imgur got lost I got my iPad last November 2018 and had my original purchase replaced since there were dusts that went under the glass on my first purchase. I had the replacement last January 2019 and found an issue already after a year. I charged my iPad as it's battery was already low. When I unlocked the iPad to check, I was surprised to find three screen burns (encircled on the image) that were not there before yesterday morning. My iPad didn't fall or anything. But it was on my back cushioned by a couple of pillows that I was leaning on. I'm not sure if that was the reason for the screen burns though. I just wanna know if this is a common issue with the iPad 6th gen or is it just me. I know it's supposed to be a budget iPad but it shouldn't be this brittle. I want to have it fixed but I want to know if this is something that can still be fixed without bringing it to Apple. [link] [comments]  | ||

Google tells me to swipe down from the home page, but that only gives me notifications. I've searched through settings,but haven't found any way to set up the ability to do this.
