iPad advice on opening and editing the same note twice simultaneously Posted: 21 Nov 2019 11:19 AM PST I have to mark 80 final exams digitally using my ipad, and what I would like to do is import them all as one giant pdf and then mark them. The issue I'm having right now so I want to be able to open this pdf *twice* and edit both instances simultaneously, to add people's total marks to the front page without having to scroll through each exam. Does anyone have a method for doing this? Is it even possible? I'm currently using notability and it certainly doesn't seem possible here. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me! :). Citation management app for iPadOS Posted: 21 Nov 2019 12:35 PM PST I'm not sure if I'm missing it or what, but it seems that Word iPadOS version is not integrated with EndNote and there is no way i can manages my citations for scientific writing. If anyone can recommend an app or a plug-in that would help me I'd appreciate it so much. I'm in the midst of writing up a paper and the iPad is more portable than my laptop [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Nov 2019 01:22 PM PST I'm planning on investing in an iPad Pro for art and schoolwork, as well as some architecture projects (3D modeling, etc.) However, my budget isn't too high right now, so I was wondering if I could get away with buying a 64GB and transferring files and photos onto an external storage. Is this possible? Can I transfer photos and files like these using the USB-C? [link] [comments]
Adding an iPad Mini to my rental inventory and I'd like to do it right and safely. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 07:43 AM PST I work in film and video lighting and a lot of us are using iPads to control lights wirelessly. Most of the time, I'm going out with my equipment but sometimes I am sending out equipment with people I already know and sometimes people I have never met before. I'm buying a new iPad Mini and adding a few apps (which are rather expensive as far as apps go) but I want to limit the iPad as much as possible and obviously keep people from buying (or downloading free) apps onto the device. Is there a best way to do something like this? Is there a way to remove the stock apps completely? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Mirroring multiple apps to a single tv Posted: 21 Nov 2019 09:58 AM PST Hi all, Not sure if this is the right subreddit, but I'm hoping someone can help. For a little background, I work at a baseball facility, and we have a tech tunnel where kids can take swings and get objective feedback through various apps. At the moment we can only project one app from the iPad on the tv (usually through hdmi) and the rest we just have on iPad that we can't see unless we stop the current app and pull the 2nd one up. It would be really cool if we could mirror all 3 apps up on the big screen in a split screen sort of view that way we can see all in one area. I've read about some recent apps to use, but want to get some feedback on which ones people have had success with, or if there's a DIY sort of way to make it work. Thanks in advance! Artists -- im not a fan of the matte screen protector, do I just need to get used to it? Posted: 21 Nov 2019 01:19 PM PST I find that colors are little washed out, which wasnt terrible until I tested out Procreate and there seems to be a significant hit to color distinction there. After hearing about the Paperlike ones reducing display quality, I got one from Bellmond that promised to be smoother than the average matte screen protector, and this is the one im using right now. I honestly don't know if I can keep it on for much longer -- would love to hear some others who maybe feel the same as I do and/or who grew to love the matte screen protector? If not, what do you use now? cheers [link] [comments]

Thinking about buying an iPad Pro soon, just wanted to know a few details before I invest. Posted: 21 Nov 2019 01:10 PM PST 1- Is the iPad Pro suitable for Programming? I am studying some programming languages like C+, C++ and Java. So is the iPad Pro a device that I can use for learning and programming at once? —— 2- Is it good for music production or are there decent professional music production apps with plugins and VSTs? —— 3- Is the 2018 model a good investment or will iPads get better and therefore they will be worth the wait? —— I will be buying the iPad from my own money, so It will be a while before I think about buying anything else —— 4- Based on the previous questions, do I need the 11' model or the 12.9' model? —————————— Thanks in advance 👍🏼❤️ [link] [comments]

Graduate School Recommendations - Upgrading Laptop or an iPad purchase? Posted: 20 Nov 2019 07:23 PM PST I currently own a Macbook Air 2014. It has gotten me through high school, my undergrad, and then some and it's in pretty good condition for its age. There is a little lag and the battery life is not the same as it used to be (definitely needs to be replaced). I'm planning to enter graduate school next fall and with holiday sales coming soon I'm planning to make an Apple purchase. I could upgrade to a MacBook Pro (13 inch/128gb) or purchase a iPad Pro (11 inch/ 64gb). I've never owned a tablet so I am a little more hesitant about switching to a tablet. If I were to go the tablet route, I'm planning on replacing the battery and keeping the Macbook Air for the next 4 years. [link] [comments]
Trying to control my iPad which is plugged into my tv from my iPhone Posted: 20 Nov 2019 07:11 PM PST Hey guys, I have a G3 12.9" iPad Pro. It's hooked to my tv through the Apple hdmi adaptor. Does anyone know of a way to control apps like Hulu, Netflix etc from an iPhone? The HDMI connections are in another room as to hide all of the junk. I'm being lazy, but thought you all may know a way. Is this possible? [link] [comments]
Have a iPad 4th Gen, no longer receiving updates, so no Disney+ play options? Posted: 20 Nov 2019 04:01 PM PST When I try to play through the ipad browser(Chrome) it just redirects me to getting the Disney+ app. The Disney+ app - along with other latest apps - aren't compatible with the latest possible iOS update for the ipad 4th gen. If so, is it just best to get the latest gen iPad so that I can potentially get the most life out of it before that too stops receiving iOS updates in the future. It's really just for convenience like streaming and all at a small table, no need for anything pro or mini, just a regular ipad. May look at ebay for latest model if that's best, unless there are better places to purchase like Amazon or other. [link] [comments] |
