    Upgrading to Catalina 10.15 however the laptop says low disk space and is now in a boot loop after logging in

    Similar to this however steps 3 onwards aren't working.

    The main 10.15 update went ok a few days ago. When this new update was getting installed I had 20gb available. However, mid install it says my space is low, and I restarted. However the restart crashes after I login and a small loading bar comes up after about 40-50% then crashes. Repeat.

    Was on the phone with Apple for an hour to no avail. Any solutions?

    Slow/stalled internet after update to 10.15.1

    10.15.1 Catalina Update Fail

    I had 14.5gb free when I went to update this afternoon but got sent into an update loop after the install failed because I didnt have enough space. Just got off the phone after 2hrs with support. We tried the recovery mode first aid, tried reverting to 10.15 and tried clearing space with terminal but nothing worked. I dont have time machine, just an external that I havent updated in a couple weeks.

    They recommended my last option was to revert to High Sierra and said 50/50 my data will still be there.

    I'm not super computer savvy, is that BS? Is this my fault for not ensuring even more space (update said 4gb required and I had 14)? Or should I just have not jumped on the latest update?

    UPDATE: High Sierra has failed to install due to lack of free space.

    HELP… I can't see my devices

    I'm running macOS 10.15.1 Beta on my MacBook Air. Now that iTunes is gone, I can't seem to be able to connect my iPad or iPhone to my laptop. How can I fix this?

    Does anyone have this bug in Catalina where if you mute your volume, then after a few minutes if you try to unmute the volume it doesn't and stays muted? Restarting it works but I dont know if I have a problem with my macbook pro (15inch 2016) or it's just a bug

    Will creating a new User account shield me from any vulnerabilities/viruses on my main account?

    I know viruses and vulnerabilities are rare on MacOS, but I am working on a new project which I need to be extra careful for (almost like a reformatted OS from scratch)

    So I was thinking a quick way would be to just create a new User on my macbook. Is this an okay temporary solution? I don't want to reformat or anything because this is just a quick 1 day project.

    Books won't upload book covers to iCloud

    I have this strange problem since updating my MacOS to Catalina. When I open an .epub in the Books app on my iMac, it automatically syncs the book with my other devices through iCloud (as it always did), but the book cover is only visible on the iMac and not on my iPhone or iPad (they get the generic "author - book name" instead). What's really weird is that if I open the same .epub on, say, my iPhone, it uploads the book to iCloud properly, with the cover. The cover is then visible on all devices.

    I don't think I had this problem on Mojave. Did anyone encounter this problem and managed to fix it? Thanks!

    Export Photos with full metadata

    My Photos library is a mixture of iPhone and analog (Canon A1 > developed > scanned > imported) photos. I always try to complete the metadata of the scanned analogs as much as possible. Since most of them are taken on vacations I add the locations and timestamps based on my digital pictures in the Photos App.

    Now my problem: I can't find a decent solution to share my library with my fiancée. I tried a shared album, normal export and export unmodified originals (which was my closest try, as at least the iPhone pictures had all data), but the metadata was always missing.

    Has anyone found a solution for this?

    Macbook doesn't recognize USB flash drives after Catalina upgrade

    I use a USB-C hub to plug in flash drives. But after the upgrade, flash drives won't even get listed when I run diskutil list to list all drives. But lights on usb flash drive turns on, so I think electric is passing from the macbook to flash drives. Does anyone had any problem like this?

    Problem with Music sync

    macOS 10.15.1 - When syncing my iPhone with macOS on through Finder, it adds 3 playlists called "iTunes" on my iPhone every single time I click the sync button and I have to delete them manually. Of course on my music library there isn't even one "iTunes" playlist.

    Any suggestions??

    Voice Memos App Not Working

    Is anyone else's Voice Memo app not working? I open the app, and click the RECORD button, but nothing happens. IT doesn't record anything, the timeline doesn't move, nothing.

    I was curious if anyone had an idea as to what I need to do to get this working again.

    Can someone explain using the Phone Link for internet browsing?

    So I have a phone plan with a 5GB "hot spot" capability.

    If I create a hotspot on my iPhone....it shows up as a "wifi" option.

    However If I have hotspot off....I still can pick my iPhone as my internet source with the Link icon.......does this use my 5 GB hot spot data?

    Help me I need help with my Ultrafine 4K display

    I am now running on macOS 10.15.1 and it finally supports my AMD RX5700 XT eGPU. But even before this my LG ultra fine 4K display doesn't turn on when I plug it in. It will detect and playback audio but the display won't turn on. Strangely this works in safe mode and the Apple support says it's to do with 3rd party apps. I followed their instructions in resetting SMC and NVRAM, as well as deleting stuff in the Library folder. Still, nothing happens after I've done all this. Can anyone help me solve this problem? I really need the display to work. For the record, I do plug in another display directly to the eGPU. I just need to make sure the LG display works by directly plugging it into my other Thunderbolt 3 port in my 2018 15 inch MBP.
