    I'm on fence about purchasing iPhone 11. My only concern is if I'll be able to get used to the big screen phone. I love the one handed ness of the SE. I tried iPhone XR today and it seemed too big. I liked iPhone XS but it's expensive. Note I'm just using them for size comparisons.

    Switched from a Galaxy S8 to an iPhone 11. One word: WOW

    I got my iPhone 11 on Saturday after being an Android user for the last 2 years. After using it for only 48 hours, I was completely blown away by how great a phone it is, even though it's the "cheap" one.

    I originally switched from iOS to Android because I wanted to give it a try and I wanted more customization. While I do prefer iOS, I did very much enjoy using Android and had few qualms with my Galaxy S8. I missed the seamlessness of iOS, the better optimized apps (this is really on devs), integrations with other Apple products, iMessage, and even the physical mute switch. With that being said, there were some things I absolutely loved about Android and will definitely miss. I loved having loads of customization, placing apps wherever you want (seriously Apple, you still haven't done this?), being able to download apps from wherever you want, notification channels, and having more control over your device.

    My first experience back to iOS was not good. I had most of my things backed up to Google services (namely Photos and Calendar), so I didn't have to do much transferring from android to iOS. I did have to transfer my contacts, so I had planned to use Apple's Move To iOS app. However, the app is terrible and didn't work. I was worried that I'd have to lose most of my contacts because I was trading in my phone (I would have manually put in any important ones). However, genius struck me as I realized I could export my contacts to Google Drive as a .vcf file, download Google Drive on the iPhone, and then hopefully be able to import them. Luckily, that worked surprisingly well and quickly, but it was not a pleasant experience.

    When I finished the setup process, it was at about 85%. I used it for hours after I got it, setting everything up and just generally enjoying using an all new phone. For the rest of the day, I was testing performance and battery life. Performance was flawless, with the exception of a Shortcut causing the phone to freeze and stutter, likely because it was over 200 actions. Battery life was ridiculously good. I was trying to kill this phone but just couldn't. I had over 6 hours of screen on time and this behemoth ended with about 30% battery life. In a total of over 6 hours, I lost just over half its battery. That's ridiculous, and no where near my S8's battery life even at the start of its lifespan.

    Being back to an iPhone means I can truly enjoy all the Apple benefits. I love being a blue bubble again. It's nice having properly optimized apps again (which again, is due to developers, not Google or Android). iOS also has a plethora of great exclusive apps, the most notable of which I use are Apollo, Overcast, Fiery Feeds, and GamePigeon. I love having Handoff, Continuity, and syncing between my MacBook Pro and iPad. Even though I could emulate many of their features with other apps or features, such as Chrome's ability to send a tab to another device, Apple simply does all of this better and more seamlessly. Other features like FaceID and gesture navigation work so well that it took me all of 0 seconds to instantly get used to them.

    I love Android, but I love my iPhone and iOS even more. 48 hours in, my experience can be explained with just one word: wow. I plan on staying with Apple for the foreseable future, and I can't wait to see what else they do with the iPhone and other products in the future.

    Ultra wide camera is a great step for apple but they are still missing key features...

    Samsung tends to always be a step ahead in features at the trade off of quality (imo).

    But iPhone REALLY needs to add auto adjustments for the distortion in wide mode. I love the camera but find the distortion overbearing sometimes.

    Also Samsung let's you shoot RAW natively and if you want to be serious in the photography race for mobile this needs to be added.

    Both can be done via a software update I think I just hope it's in the works.

    Why do I get higher WiFi speeds by Resetting Network Settings?

    My 100mb service is always disappointing me giving ~30mb/sec.

    "Forget this network" does not work every time. But resetting network settings always get me to desired 90-100mb/sec speeds for couple days. And then again, I always go back to those slow speeds until I reset network settings again.

    This does not happen to my wife's iPhone 6S Plus! But it always happens to me and I have an iPhone X.

    Why!? Why can't I stay at normal high speeds!?

    iOS 13 / iPhone 11 Pro Max bug list

    I was wondering if we can get one of these started incase people notice issues--

    Running: iOS 13-- as of 2019-09-23.

    So far:

    1) Listening to a podcast in car, suddenly the phone disconnected from bluetooth (not using carplay) and ~5-6 seconds later it re-connected. This never happened with previous iPhone Xs Max.

    2) Touch sensitivity along the top left and top right corners of the phone depending on the application used seems different than the Xs Max - sometimes you need to press just a little harder than with the Xs Max for it to register. Applications that use this for example: Tapatalk, pressing the arrow with your left thumb if holding the phone with your left hand.

    There may be many more / other bugs but these are the two I've run into so far. Hopefully iOS 13.1 coming out around the corner will solve some of these issues?

    I always used to use the Find my Friends widget to see where my family would be located. Now that they took away the "Find My Friends" app and combined it I see no option anymore.

    Hey guys, I just got my first iPhone and am loving it. I know that it comes with a fast charger and was wondering if using that daily would harm the battery health more than the traditional brick Apple used to ship. Genuinely curious as I have no knowledge in this subject and any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    [INQUIRY] Iphone XS official Apple leather case cleaning

    To make things short, basically after a couple of trips including camping and beaches my leather case has become dirty in the sense that it has become a bit.. sticky. Which leads to my hands becoming sticky after touching my phone with the case on.

    I tried using handsoap and cloth to give it a clean and letting it dry in sunlight as per the Apple website suggestion but I've had no luck. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

    18W wall charger + "Optimised Battery Charging" feature is not a coincidence right?

    I was just wondering about this today as I was playing with my wife's new iPhone 11 Pro (great phone, by the way, the camera is brilliant), so here I am reaching out to the experts in this space,

    Did Apple introduce "Optimised Battery Charging" now because they include 18W wall charger in the box for the new 11P and 11P Max? Due to overnight charging habit that we (at least I do) are used to? I have seen in the past that my battery deteriorated at a faster rate because of overnight charging via higher wattage chargers (i.e. iPad/Mac charger) possibly due to generated heat I guess?

    I know overnight charging is not recommended (have read a few discussions here) but now that Apple has introduced this new feature, does it matter if I stick to the old ways of keeping it plugged in overnight? Please share your thoughts.

    Question about iPhone boxes

    Hello everyone! Does an european charger brick for iPhone fit in to an iPhone box with the slot for an USA charger brick ? I can't find the dimensions of the USA charger anywhere. I'm searching this info for my second job, I buy broken iPhones to fix and resell, and I would like to sell at least the boxes with the phone, but I can't find the dimensions of neither these two chargers. Of course I don't need the dimensions of the eu charger because I can measure it by myself.

    iOS 13 downsampling iMessage photo/video?

    Updated my Xs to iOS 13 on Thursday and ever since any messages or video sent through iMessage are downgraded and grainy.

    I don't have low quality turned on... never had an issue before iOS 13?

    Regret getting the 11?

    I currently have the iPhone 11 and I think I'm starting to regret not getting the max pro. I have att next and I upgrade every year and I had the max from last year. I liked the green iPhone 11 color and that's why I got it. I miss the OLED screen, the size of the max, the premium feel of the max, and I like the camera on the pro max. I'm trying to convince myself to just keep the 11, but I really want to trade it in for the pro max. Am I just being nit picky and dumb about this?
