[Meta] We Are Looking For New Mods!

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:35 PM PDT

    Hey everyone!

We are once again looking to bring on new moderators to help with daily moderation tasks on r/jailbreak and r/iOSthemes.

At this time, we are looking to bring on about 2-3 new mods

    Requirements

    • Your account must be at least 6 months old and you must have at least 500 cumulative karma
    • Must be active in r/jailbreak and/or r/iOSthemes and be knowledgeable about jailbreaking
    • Look forward to doing the "janitorial" work that is the bulk of what moderators do: removing and approving posts, clearing the modqueue, responding to modmail, explaining rules, helping people, maintaining order. It helps to be a pretty patient and tolerant person.
    • Willing to perform the majority of moderation work from a computer & install Moderator Toolbox (mod tools for mobile are terrible)
    • Willing to actively participate in our private subreddit, Slack channel and join our private Discord server
    • Previous moderator experience is helpful, but not necessary
    • Willing to submit to our Robot Overlords

    Application

To apply, please fill out this application: https://forms.gle/ZZwJMJeYWC7ek8HU9

Applications will be open for 1 week and close on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019, at a time yet to be decided. Depending on how many applications we get, how long we take to decide on who has been successful will change. Hopefully it won't take us more than a few weeks to decide.

If you have any questions about what it's like to be a mod, or anything mod related, please feel free to ask.

    Best of luck,
    - r/jailbreak and r/iOSthemes mod team

[Tutorial] How to get FaceID/GPS/Camera bug working after jailbreaking 100% of the time

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 12:51 PM PDT

From trial and error, it seems like this type of bug is a similar bug that was affecting users with Reloading System Daemons when u0 just dropped for iOS 11. Doing the following steps will get you jailbroken 100% with GPS/Camera/FaceID working on A12 12.4 jailbreak. I tried about 10 times and it worked every time.

    1) Download iCleaner or iCleaner Pro

    2) Restart your iPhone to non-jailbroken mode.

    3) Open u0, go to Settings, and turn "load tweaks" off

    4) Press jailbreak. Your phone will not restart but JB apps like iCleaner Pro will work.

5a) Go to iCleaner Pro and make sure only these are checked to prevent losing app data (OTA software updates, battery usage data, log files, cache files, temp files, file type cleanup) and message attachments OFF. If you have message attachments turned on, you might lose all your attachments. You can turn Applications on as well, it just cleans the cache, won't log you out or delete your app or anything like that.

    5b) 'Clean' your device.

    6) After cleaning, iCleaner Pro will ask to respring your device. Press respring and there you go. Now your tweaks and GPS/FaceID/Camera will work.

I've tried ldrestart like some have mentioned and I had no luck. But this worked all the time. This can be a temp fix until Pwn pushes out an update today or in the coming days.

    [Discussion] Favorite A12 Unc0ver iOS 12.4 Tweaks

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:00 PM PDT

Now that we have a couple of days under us, I'm curious to some of the tweaks the community is enjoying. Let me know some of your favorites whether that's based on looks or practicality! Also a short description of what it does or what you like could help as a thread for someone looking for some more good tweaks!

    [Release] Nepetas Github Sources

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:08 AM PDT

So as you may know, Nepeta has removed her github page. But anybody who would like to work on her tweaks for A12(X) can use the mirror of all 55 of her sources including forks:

    https://github.com/chr0nict/nepetas-github

As mentioned by another person before, you can also get the repo here:

    https://chr0nict.github.io/Nepeta-Mirror

    Or her debs:

    https://github.com/Chr0nicT/Nepeta-Mirror

    All credit to Nepeta.

[Discussion] Could someone explain all of this Nepeta controversy to me and why she deleted everything?

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 10:28 AM PDT

I don't quite understand what is going on. I haven't paid much attention to the controversies going on with these developers, all I have really paid attention to is just when new tweaks and jailbreaks are released and jailbreaking progress.

Could someone explain to me why Nepeta deleted everything and what this controversy is?

[News] TSS Saver now supports saving iOS 13 blobs

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:10 AM PDT

    tsssaver.1conan.com

'If you've tried saving iOS 13 blobs before the fix, save again.' Allow it 10 minutes to work.

    Alternative: shsh.host

Introduction to blobs. A12/A12X instructions linked at the bottom of that wiki section; as of 2019-09-24, the TSS Saver web app works for A12/A12X, but not the TSS Saver Cydia app.

[Request] Notifica alternative that is just as good...

    Posted: 24 Sep 2019 08:44 PM PDT

I don't know much about the drama that has been going on with Nepeta (maybe somebody can fill me in) but I'm really sad to see that she's deleted her Twitter and that her repo is down, I really hope she comes back but at the moment it's not looking good, nobody will ever be able to top some of the tweaks she made. Since I don't think she's gonna come back for a while, anybody got any Notifica alternatives that are possibly just as good, I had a bunch of other tweaks of hers but those I can live without, but I need Notifica!
