    When I go to settings and turn off screen time, it shows that it is turned off but screen time changes do not go away. I can't use private on safari, I can't clear my history, and the websites I had blocked on screen time are still blocked when I turn it off.

    Is the Apple TV+ free year subscription offered through T-Mobile?

    I just bought the 11 Pro from T-Mobile, forgetting about Apple's offer for free TV+ subscription for a year. I saw a Sprint ad for the new phones that said it comes with the free year, so I assume it would apply to all major carriers, but I just want to make sure, as I didn't receive any redemption code or anything.

    iPhone won’t rotate since updating to iOS 13

    Like the title says. Ive tried restarting it many times with no luck. It is on iOS 13.1. Rotate lock is also not on. I have an iPhone 6s.

    Edit: this happens when I try to watch any video like on YouTube or if I want to look at my email in landscape etc...

    How do I know when iCloud is done backing up?

    First time iCloud user here.

    I upgraded my iCloud storage a few days ago so i could backup my phone prior to downloading iOS 13. The past few days it's been downloading all of my photos, and it seems that as of this post, they're all downloaded.

    Is that it, or is there anything else i need to do (besides a backup obviously).

    Sidecar not available (2017 iPad Pro 12.9" + 2016 MacBook Pro 15")

    I have a 2017 iPad Pro 12.9" and a 2016 MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar. Both have the latest software updates, but there is no Sidecar connection option in the AirPlay menu, even when connected directly via Lightning cable. No Sidecar menu in System Preferences either.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    iOS 13.1 Camera Issues on Pro Max

    Hi all. Is anybody else experience their camera being weird after the 13.1 update? After I updated I noticed that when I switch my camera to video mode and use the scroll zoom feature, the transitions between the lenses is marked by a blurred display and then back to normal. Happens every time. Then when I actually start recording and start out at .5x for example it only lets me zoom into 1.5x and only uses that wide angle lens it does not switch between the other two. I have restarted the phone, restored it completely, and even reached out to Apple support about it.

    Siri doesn't recognize cellular data is on when trying to stream music on LTE, post Apple Music activation (and subsequent ditching).

    Hello...

    A few weeks back I subscribed to Apple Music, tried it out, and realized I didn't like the way it messed around with my library. So, I went and unsubscribed and put everything (including settings) back to how it was before I subscribed.

    Two days ago, while driving home from running errands, I said "Hey Siri: play The Beatles Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album." Now, normally it would start playing after a small Siri into. Not that day.

    That day Siri said "Looks like you're not on Wifi and haven't enabled cellular data in settings." Weird, but I thought I could have easily pressed a button wrong. No big deal.

    So, I get home, and check everything and everything seems to be in order. So, I start testing (with WiFi off):

    "Hey Siri: Play Bad Religion No Control Album."

    Siri: "Looks like you're not...."

    "Hey Siri: Play Blink-182."

    Siri: "Looks like you're not...."

    "Hey Siri: Play the Dollop" (note: this is a podcast)

    Siri: "Now playing the Dollop episode 396..."

    Weird. It plays podcasts that have been downloaded to my phone when off WiFi but not music that has been downloaded to my phone.

    While googling, I did find that if I added "Play my music...." it worked, but was too buggy.

    Before adding Apple Music it worked fine... after... not so much.

    Anyone here experience this problem and know how to revert it so that it just plays my music with the "Hey Siri, play...." command?

    PS: I should add: None of the files switched format (after I unsubscribed from Apple Music). I didn't keep or buy anything after I streamed it (the only thing I really streamed was the new Burna Boy album).

    The main issue is that iTunes fails to recognize that my cellular data is on. I feel like it's trying to force me to stream with Apple Music.

    Any help is deeply appreciated.

    MacBook shuts down after Apple logo while turning on - please help!

    Apologies if I can't explain properly - I know nothing about computers at all.

    I decided to reset my MacBook Air as I hadn't in a while, and it showed the Apple logo, then the loading bar screen, and halfway through the loading it shuts down. I've tried it countless times but does the same every time.

    I've tried starting it in Safe Mode, and it gets further through the loading but still shuts down. I've also tried holding command and R and trying to repair the disc on that but nothing changed/came up.

    I don't know if this is relevant but the memory/disk space on it is completely full, and it's about 4 and a half years old.

    If I get a subscription on my iPad and then download the same app on my phone will the subscription still be there? (On same Apple ID) The app doesn't have any login features for certain accounts

    iPad Air 2 can't connect to WiFi after iOS13 update

    This is super frustrating. I just updated my iPhone 7 Plus and iPad Air 2 to iOS 13. The iPhone updated fine and all works perfectly. The iPad won't connect to the same Wifi. I've tried:

    • Turning airplane mode off and on
    • Rebooting
    • Erase network settings
    • Reset All settings

    It sees the network, I enter the password, then it just hangs for about 20 seconds and comes back. Doesn't say wrong password. Doesn't say anything.

    I decided to do a full wipe and reset. The problem is apparently you can't do that if you are not connected to Wifi. It says "Verification failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server". Of course since I am not on the internet.

    So as a last resort, I updated iTunes on my Windows PC (haven't used it in years) and plugged in the iPad. It said "iTunes could not connect to the iPad "iPad" because an error occurred reading from the device".

    I tried it on my wife's Macbook Pro and iTunes gave me the same error.

    I'm stuck. This is completely broken by the iOS 13 update.

    CD Not Showing Up In iTunes, but showing up in Windows Explorer

    Hey, all! Recently I have been having a super annoying problem with my iTunes. I got some new CDs, and most of them import fine and don't give me any issues, but a few will not show up in iTunes. They show up fine in Windows Explorer and I can play them and everything, but when it comes to iTunes, it's like they don't exist. I did the "Run Diagnostics" in the help section, and here is what I got. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Subtitles centre screen since Catalina beta

    In the TV app, movies and TV shows are playing with the subtitles in the centre of the screen. If I play the movie in VLC, all is OK. I can edit the subtitle text appearance in System Prefs but not the position.

    Any clues?

    Can’t make/receive calls or use voice to text

    A few days ago, my iPhone 7 (currently on iOS 13.1) stopped making/receiving calls. When I try to call someone, the speaker button greys out and after ringing once or twice, the call timer will start as if the other person picked up, but neither of us can hear anything. When someone calls me, pretty much the same thing: greyed out speaker, no sound.

    Additionally, my voice to text stopped working. The keyboard flashes when I hit the button as if it tries to go to the VtT screen, but it immediately goes back to the keyboard.

    Other than that, my speaker is working fine, I can play music and have no issues.

    Outside of a WiFi problem I had at work where I tried fiddling with the settings there (only within the WiFi part), I have changed nothing else. I don't believe my phone has sustained any significant damage to cause this, unless it got knocked off of my nightstand during the night.

    I currently have a 6S I can switch to if needed, but if I can avoid switching over (especially because it's an older one and I'm just paranoid about things not working/something messing up by going backwards), that would be preferred.

    Weird Notification Behavior After Update

    I updated to iOS 13/watchOS 6 and have a weird notification problem. It used to be that if I wasn't using my phone the notifications would go straight to my watch and that was it. If I was using my phone it would go through my phone and not my watch. Now, when I am using my phone it notifies me on my phone, but ten seconds later sends the notification to my watch. If my phone is off, it also notifies both. I will update to 13.1 and see if that fixes it but in the meantime, does anybody know why this is happening and how to fix it?

    Questions about Photos and Maps/Apple Phone with iOS 13

    After upgrading to iOS 13 I noticed that some of the features I used frequently were no longer there (or obviously visible) under Photos. In particular, the option to select a photo from Camera Roll (or any album) and save it as a wallpaper; the ability to select a photo and duplicate it (which I found useful if I wanted to edit a copy and keep the original) and the ability to save an image to Apple Watch. None of those options show up for me when I'm in Photos now. Are these even available now with the update?

    On an unrelated issue, my Apple watch (series 3/GPS only) started giving me directions when heading to work the past few days (after update) when I wasn't using my phone for anything--just sitting in its spot in the car. Maps was not turned on, but every time I looked at my watch, or drove on to another road, there was the message on the phone giving me a driving update to work. I don't mind directions from my watch when the phone is navigating, but this has not been the case recently. What's the best way to address this?

    Should I purchase an Apple TV 3?

    Hi guys! Recently I've been purchasing more films and some of them are only compatible with iTunes.

    Therefore, I was interested in purchasing an Apple TV. I don't need 4k and I need it just for an occasional film or maybe iPhone XR screen mirroring [from what I've heard] so I figured I would just start off with a pre-owned/refurbished model to see if I liked it.

    I understand the Apple TV 3 has been discontinued, and as someone who has never owned an Apple TV - Will the Apple TV 3 be good enough to work and stream in HD from my iTunes library? That's all I really need it for. Just would like some input from the fellow Apple community. Thank you!
