TVOS 13 Multi-user Is Rather...Useless Posted: 24 Sep 2019 06:41 PM PDT So, maybe I'm missing something. Just added my girlfriends account to my Apple TV, Homescreen layout didn't change, 3rd party app sign ins didn't change. Did apple remove the up next tiles from the home screen TV app? Also after inviting wife to home app "see me on appletv" is greyed out. And when I add her as a non home user she doesn't really have her own account. Why does HDR darken the screen so much? Multi profile on Apple TV doesn’t include game saves. Posted: 24 Sep 2019 11:42 AM PDT Man, I assumed this whole time that when you switch users on the Apple TV it would use the cloud saves from the iPhone/iPad/etc of the user that you switched to. Especially for Arcade. Now that 13.1 is live I see that apparently it doesn't - I guess cloud saves are tied to Game Center and you can only have one Game Center account signed in, so you get the cloud saves of the primary user. My Netflix will forget what I am watching even if it goes on screensaver. It's super annoying. Anyone have a fix or workaround? Supervision with Configurator 2 - TV disappeared from device list Posted: 24 Sep 2019 10:21 PM PDT Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right sub for this question, if it's not, where else would be better? I'm the onsite IT tech for a school, and we've just ordered 30 60" TVs + 30 AppleTVs to put in every room. We've set up around 10 ad-hoc, but I would like to get them set up with Configurator. I've tested the idea on one AppleTV, and it worked pretty well. It skipped AppleID and Wifi setup (Thank god, that text input is horrific), but now it's just stuck on the 'Conference Room' screen with no background. AirPlay works perfectly. However, I can't leave this screen on the device at all, all buttons on my remote are unresponsive. I figured I'd just missed something with Configurator, but the AppleTV has disappeared from my device list. I can't edit the Profile I used to set it up, nor can I perform any kind of factory reset to undo anything. Am I just missing something obvious? I feel like this is a recoverable problem, hopefully! User Profiles not Changing Home Layout Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:04 PM PDT Added my Girlfriend's account to my Apple TV. Moved an icon and switched back to my profile. The icon didn't move back. I must be missing a setting somewhere, right? Also signed out of Plex in her profile, and it was also signed out on mine. I'd imaging this is related, unless I misunderstood the scope of user profiles? I was expecting that when you switch profiles, a new instance of the app kicks in with the other user's login applied (aka different Netflix account). Most of my Apple Music Library is missing after update Posted: 24 Sep 2019 05:51 PM PDT After updating to tvOS 13, I can only see my purchased music in my Library. All of the music that I synced to Apple Music is missing. I can still see it on my other devices, just not the TV (worked fine before update). Anyone else running into this and know of a fix? After TVOS upgrade, all input is tremendously laggy Posted: 24 Sep 2019 03:29 PM PDT I've tried the remote, the phone remote, an IR remote, and a PS4 controller that I managed to painfully get paired. It was perfectly fine in the process of getting the update, but afterward I got so far as opening and subscribing to arcade before input started lagging hard. Moving back and forth will, if I'm lucky, have a few seconds of delay. If I'm not lucky, it just won't register. The PS4 controller is much the same. I was thinking some sort of Bluetooth issue, but the remote on my phone which connects via WiFi is also the same, as is my IR remote. Anyone else having this issue?
