Show info is no longer available when swiping down Posted: 03 Dec 2018 07:32 PM PST For example, on the food network or hgtv apps, I used to swipe down and the name of that show was there. However, that's no longer the case. Now, when I swipe down, I only see logo for the channel I'm on. DirecTV is the provider I'm logged in with. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? Posted: 03 Dec 2018 06:57 AM PST I have multiple Apple TVs in the house, but only one of them is connected to a TV that can turn on and off with the Apple TV. This has been great up until recently. The Apple TV seems to be turning on due to some unknown trigger, at random times, causing the TV to come on as well. I have tried turning off this Apple TV's home kit integration and then also tried turning off Air Play, but this hasn't fixed it. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them! Posted: 03 Dec 2018 12:52 PM PST I recently go a Vizio M65-F0. While it supports Dolby Vision, it's super dark to the point where it's unable to be watched or see anything even with the highest backlight. HDR10 looks nicer and better than SDR so I'm trying to figure out how to force only HDR10 without it also up converting SDR to HDR. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]
Plex live tv will not reliably play in Plex particularly HD channels (HD Homerun) Question 2 of 2 Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:27 AM PST Channels app is flawless in terms of playback of live tv, tried it with Plex server on Shield and Plex server running off Mac, slightly better in Mac server but not much. Will add, setting a recording works perfect so link between Shield and HD Homerun is solid. Edit: Spelling [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:23 AM PST Plex running off my shield server is super fast to display graphics anyone have any ideas how I can improve this? I like to go native apps sometimes with apple stuff but this is playing up my OCD...lol [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Dec 2018 04:36 AM PST Is Apple working on anything to fix the problem on YoutubeTV. The resolution is 240 when you start to watch something. This is an Apple TV problem because it is not happening on any other types of devices i.e. Roku, the shield. It is also fine when watching via your phone. YouTube TV is aware of the problem and is trying to find a fix around, but I'm wondering if Apple TV is trying to do anything also. There are lots of posts in the YouTube TV forum, but I don't see any in the Apple TV forum. [link] [comments]
Apple TV 4th Gen Odd WiFi Connection Error Posted: 03 Dec 2018 09:26 AM PST Yesterday my 4th gen Apple TV randomly stopped connecting to my wifi. It would see the network name but say the password was incorrect. A few attempts later and the network name wouldn't even show up in the network list. This was using the 2.4 signal that I normally connect to. I was however able to connect to the 5 ghz signal that I never use. When I did this I noticed on my router app (ASUS AC68U) that the Apple TV was now connected twice. I had named the device a while back as Living Room but now was saying connected to 5 ghz as "Living Room" and connected to 2.4 generically as "Apple". I ended up blacklisting this "new" device on my router and my Apple TV was then able to see the 2.4 network name again. It's like the device created a ghost signal that wouldn't actually connect to the internet. Has anyone else ever seen something like this before? I'm not even completely sure why this was the fix. Audio Sync from Apple TV 4K to Homepod Posted: 02 Dec 2018 02:44 PM PST Hey guys, Wondering if anyone else out there is using their HomePod with their Apple TV 4K and if you've had any issues with the audio from video not being completely in sync. I have found that I continue to experience a half second or so delay. It is quite infuriating. I've tried resetting both the Apple TV and HomePod back to factory settings but still continue to have issues. From what I've played around with, the audio lag is only present when I have match frame rate turned on in settings. When I turn match frame rate off, the audio seems to sync no problem, but the issue is is that the video on regular movies is intermitedly choppy. Has anyone else run into similar issues or have any suggestions as far as how I should proceed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! [link] [comments] |
