Posted: 19 Nov 2018 07:12 AM PST Hulu has finally added 5.1 audio and Apple TV appears to be just about the only major platform not supported, besides Roku. From their website (https://help.hulu.com/en-us/surround-sound), this is the list of currently supported devices where 5.1 audio is available.
I've also tweeted Hulu's support and received the following reply: Hi there! No news to share at the moment, but we'd be happy to let our team know you'd like to see this available on your Apple TV. Be sure to keep tabs on https://hulu.tv/ProductUpdates to stay in the loop on Hulu-related updates. Let us know if we can assist with anything else! | TV app doesn’t sync Up next with Hulu Posted: 19 Nov 2018 09:19 AM PST Hi, starting a few days ago "Up next" feature in the TV app on my Apple TV stopped working with Hulu shows. It used to mark episodes "watched" as I watched them and let me continue where I've stopped. I tried removing and adding these shows back, but they're still stuck at "recently added" status. Up next works fine with shows from other apps. Same issue on my iPad. Did Hulu messed something up with their app? Do you have the same issue? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 19 Nov 2018 11:56 AM PST When I watch family members' tv shows on Apple TV, the next episode helpfully adds itself to Up Next. Unhelpfully, however, if you access the next episode via Up Next, it'll take you to the iTunes page for that episode, where you are prompted to pay for it. I've told Apple, as I would consider it a bug. Either don't incorporate Up Next, or incorporate it and recognise it's a family sharing purchase. Anyone noticed this/found a workaround? | x265 settings for playback on ATV4? Posted: 19 Nov 2018 08:40 AM PST I'd like to convert some video files to x265 in order to allow for smoother and more efficient remote playback via Plex. The playback device is an ATV4 Running tvOS 12. From what I can gather, the ATV4 should support direct playback of x265 files. What I'm not sure of, however, are the specifics on what settings I should use in an app such as Hand Brake to ensure it's compatible for direct play. [link] [comments]  |
