Pencil usage is incredible on Pro running 12 Posted: 03 Oct 2018 10:26 AM PDT This might be a entirely perceptual thing but I swear the writing with a pencil on a Pro running 12 is far more responsive and crisp than it was running 11. I've had this iPad for a year and become very used to how it writes. I take the majority of my notes in Notes using the pencil. Today is the first chance I've had to do the same, and I became distracted in the meeting I was in with how awesome it was working. I tried a couple of scribbles, fast movements, pick up and down, tiny type and everything worked very smoothly, responsive to the point it really looked like I was writing with a pen and I could read even the tiniest characters. If this is do to 12 then great, if it's just my brain perceiving that then go delusional brain. Now if only they'd introduce a new pencil with a frighten eraser. [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 Oct 2018 10:46 AM PDT So this post is just basically asking if this is a good deal seeing as how new iPads may be released soon along with discounts on older ones. I'm looking at a 10.5 second gen Pro 64GB with the Apple Pencil and Apple Smart Keyboard for $530. Too me it seems like a good deal but I haven't owned a iPad since the 3 so I'm a little uneducated when it comes to them and pricing. [link] [comments]
Controversial opinion: OneDrive is the best app for annotating PDFs Posted: 03 Oct 2018 05:44 AM PDT Here's why: 1) Automatic cloud sync 2) Available on every platform 3) flexible file structure 4) eraser doesn't erase entire pen strokes [link] [comments]

Ios 12 makes standby time worse Posted: 03 Oct 2018 10:48 AM PDT I own an I pad pro 12.9" that used to have a ridiculous standby time , but with iOS 12 I have noticed it to be not as good , still perfectly adequate, but just wondering if anyone else has noticed ? [link] [comments]
Suggestions for games that can be played together in real life (like a board game) Posted: 02 Oct 2018 11:05 PM PDT My girlfriend and I had a great time playing Pandemic last night, and I'm looking for other games that can be social. Please no online multi-player games. I would search for games like this but I don't even know what to call them. "multi-player" just brings up online games. [link] [comments]

Is now a good time to buy the Apple Pencil? Posted: 02 Oct 2018 07:23 PM PDT Or will there possibly be an Apple Pencil 2 on the horizon? [link] [comments]

Thinking of purchasing a new iPad after years, any suggestions would be great! Posted: 02 Oct 2018 04:17 PM PDT I bought the iPad mini 4 some years ago and this iPad is slowly starting to give out. My main complaint is besides the lag, I can't have more than a couple apps running in the background for multi tasking. I keep having to reload the app I have running in the background. I saw that the iPad Pro and the iPad 9.7 are the options I can upgrade to. My usage is pretty simple: read through textbooks, browse internet, access documents and take notes. I'm really interested in the pen and the note taking with that. Most of my material is electronic, except capturing charts on pen and paper. Ideally, I'd like to store the notes I typed and the handwritten notes in the same spot. I noticed that the iPad 9.7 has the same 2gb RAM i have on my iPad Mini 4, and I'm somewhat afraid I'll run into the same issue on the 9.7. Given my use case, is it worth it to get the 9.7? Should I get the Pro instead? How much of a difference would it make going from a mini 4 to the 9.7? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Oct 2018 06:55 PM PDT I spend a good amount of time traveling for work. I use my iPad Air 2 to play games during long international flights. I'd like to get a controller to make gaming easier, but I do not know what to purchase. I was hoping to get a controller that attaches to the iPad mainly because I do not always have a seat in front of me, which means no tray to place the iPad on. I found a controller called Gamevice, but it is very poor quality. I haven't been able to find much else. Are there any quality controllers that attach to the iPad like the Gamevice? Posted: 02 Oct 2018 05:45 PM PDT I have an old Ipad 2 (that I also bought refurbished), but we basically use it as a paperweight that plays music. I want to get another one, but I'm not sure which model would be the best - especially for the speed factor. Which of the older models will give me the most bang for my buck? [link] [comments]
