Posted: 05 Oct 2018 11:46 AM PDT Hey folks! I am looking for a way to download audio from the internet on an iPad. It used to be possible a few months ago with an app called 'browser' which had a blue downward arrow for its icon symbol. It used to ask if I wanted to download as soon as a video (even on YouTube) would start playing. But when I got a new pad under warranty it didn't seem to have this function. I'm sure this is a bone of contention for many reasons yet I'm not looking to infringe any copyright, I'm simply looking for a way to grab unlicensed audio clips to sample and manipulate using various (awesome)sound apps. Mainly violin tutorials which happen to sound incredible and creepy when slowed down and/or played backwards, but also voice clips of angry preachers spewing hellfire and brimstone (which are freely given by evangelical nutcases hoping to save souls or get donations) It works really well over dirty, glitchy dub as per this track which I produced entirely on my iPad mini 4. https://soundcloud.com/scarlett-pimpernel-1/glitch-dub-preach-core Please help me complete this album and pioneer this new genre! The iPad is my only form of technology so downloading on pc and sending it over is not an option. I'm not even able to save these self proclaimed free audio clips anymore: https://archive.org/details/PreacherAudioClips/JamesMacdonaldExlpainingFourFalseGospels.mp3 If anyone has any tips of how to do this, or any good samples of angry nonsensical sermons promising eternal damnation then suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help that can be offered! [link] [comments]
Setting an iPad to auto-wake and run slideshow when it detects movement? Posted: 05 Oct 2018 11:12 AM PDT I have a 1st-gen iPad I want to repurpose as a digital picture frame. I'm using LiveFrame to have it run a slideshow of my Google Photos albums, which works great. My plan is to buy a stand, leave the ipad plugged in all the time, basically in kiosk mode. Optimally, it would be set so that it the screen only turns on when it senses movement. There are ways to do this with an android tablet, but I'm unsure if I can with an iPad? I also have a SmartThings hub and SmartThings motion detector if that matters? I sort of doubt it does, since as think that could only control the power to the outlet I'm plugged into, and if the ipad's battery is charged, it wouldn't turn off until it drains, right? Unless there's a way to make the ipad go to sleep after a certain period of time (even with the slideshow running), and then when the motion detector sense motion, and sends power to the outlet, that charging forces the ipad to turn on? Not a big deal if I can't make it work, but thought there might be a way! [link] [comments]
How can I remove restrictions from an old school iPad? Posted: 05 Oct 2018 08:34 AM PDT I have a dusty school iPad and I wanted to give it to my nephew but it has the MDM thingy and restrictions so I'd like to know how I can remove it. I tried factory reset but it doesn't work and I also tried iBackUpBot but it doesn't work because I don't have "Trust Computer" option. Help would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments]

Leather Case for iPad like IPhone Posted: 04 Oct 2018 03:59 PM PDT Hi! I have an XS max and have the leather cover from apple, the one that only protects the back. Does anyone make one like that for the iPads? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Oct 2018 02:09 PM PDT I have an iPad Pro that came with a tempered glass screen protector, the otter box case comes with one built in that I don't really like. Is it possible to remove the screen protector and use mine without any damage, or remove the tempered glass and reapply it later? [link] [comments]
iPad Pro support for mouse and trackpad...please. Posted: 04 Oct 2018 02:30 PM PDT I would like for the iPad Pro to support the Magic Mouse and or the Magic Trackpad... ...in fact, if the iPad Pro does not support the mouse or trackpad, I will not buy one. Having to reach out to touch the screen when typing on the Smart Keyboard is completely ridiculous ... "CEO Steve Jobs said: "We've done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn't work. Touch surfaces don't want to be vertical. It gives great demo but after a short period of time, you start to fatigue and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. it doesn't work, it's ergonomically terrible. Touch surfaces want to be horizontal, hence pads." [link] [comments] |
