    Just got my first AppleTV and the entire household loves it. However we're having a problem with sound cutting out every 30 seconds for about a second. It doesn't seem to matter what app is running.

    The setup is: TVOS 12, wired gigabit ethernet, gigabit fibre internet, HDMI 2.0 full speed cable to the TV, TV sends optical signal to the receiver.

    We didn't have this problem when running stuff on the TV without using the AppleTV box.

    Any advice?

    I have recently purchased the Apple TV 4th generation. I usually used it to stream Netflix, Prime Video & Youtube. What could possibly be the best settings for low data usage?

    Captions not turning off

    Anyone else experiencing issues with the Hulu app not turning off subtitles? Even though subtitles/captions show as OFF.

    I ask Siri "turn off subtitles" or "turn off captions", Siri responds with "subtitles/captions are already off".

    Still the captions remain. Any ideas?

    How to get show back in Up Next from Hulu?

    I accidentally removed a show from play history in the TV app that I was watching in Hulu. I went back to Hulu and kept watching but it never appeared again in my Continue watching section in the TV app

    YouTube app is horrendous but I NEED COMMENTS

    I watch videos of news or podcasts and the comments always have timestamps. I desperately need time stamps when I'm trying to watch on my tv skipping is just like pot luck. I can look past the rest of the apps deficiencies but this is killing me and there's no alternative solution I see for. Android tv either :(

    Help: Apple TV 5th - no youtube

    I can no longer play YouTube vids on my ATV. I can however play them on my nvidia shield and iPhones/iPads which are all connected to the same wifi.

    Vimeo, Plex etc all work fine.

    So far I've tried using the "reset app" button inside the YouTube app, done "reset" on the Apple TV but none of this has helped.

    Now I'm doing a "Update and Reset" - but somehow I doubt this will work.

    When I say "not working" I mean the app loads, all the videos come up - I can see my history, subscriptions etc but when I tap on a video it just sits there spinning forever.

    What gives??

    Applets 4K disconnects constantly

    I can't even finish streaming a movie without it disconnecting. Don't even use the 4K. Just normal Netflix.

    Used to happen weekly. Then daily. Now every time I turn it on it will stream for 30 mins and then freeze up.

    Nothing else on the network has an issue.

    I've tried changing WiFi channels with no luck.

    Same issue happens even on 5ghz channel.

    Even more annoying is that it is now logging me out of all apps when it disconnects.

    Any suggestions besides chucking the thing in the garbage? Because that's about where my head is with AppleTV. I've had three different AppleTV models myself and used others in countless offices and they just seem to drop connections like no other device I've ever used. Never seen a reliable one.

    My tv show, “True Blood” is freezing

    I have the entire series and am currently watching season 5 and have to exit and resume playing 2-3 times per episode because it keeps freezing. The sound continues, but the picture stops.

    Is anyone else experiencing this issue or know of a fix?

    Large library question

    I had a 3rd generation and I have a large iTunes library (600+ movies) and it took forever every single time I tried to access my movie library. I stopped using it because it was so terrible. Are the new models better about this? I'm hesitant to drop $180 and still be waiting around for several minutes for my movie list to load.

    Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I couldn't really find this addressed anywhere.

    Home Pod + 4k TV

    New to this community (hi!) - was wondering if there is a way to connect our Home Pod to our 4k TV so we can ask Siri to turn on/off our tv, switch the volume. I've tried searching Google but haven't come across anything super helpful. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
