Posted: 01 Sep 2018 05:25 PM PDT Hey all, wanted to share my experience in case anyone is on the fence about upgrading. I previously had an Air 2 and use my iPad a ton for reading and annotating and taking notes for school. I was on the fence about upgrading because 1. I was concerned on whether or not it was worth upgrading simply because of the Pencil and 2. I was worried about giving up the laminated display on the Air 2 for a non-laminated one on the 6th gen. This iPad is amazing for the price! The Apple Pencil is unlike anything I've ever used, it blows any stylus on the market out of the park. My notes are so neat and clear thanks to the Apple Pencil. The internal upgrades are also great compared to the internals of the Air 2 (although the improved performance isn't that noticeable). The laminated display isn't even an issue for me, it's hard to notice unless you look at the screen from an angle. Overall, I am so happy with the upgrade and recommend it to anyone in the same boat as I was! Feel free to ask any questions if you have any! Cheers [link] [comments]
Looking for pics of Dbrand Matte Black skin for iPad Pro 10.5 or 12.9 Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:12 PM PDT I am thinking about getting the matte black dbrand skin for my iPad Pro 10.5, but would love to see some pics for and I would also like to hear from those who have a dbrand skin on their iPad. How satisfied are you overall? How has it held up after periods of use? I understand it's not at all protective but I just want to switch it up. Any comments/pics are appreciated. Thank you. Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:47 AM PDT Hey all, I know this is a stupid question to ask but I feel like I myself need some opinions and insight. I'm frugal when it comes to technology but I enjoy the convenience it brings. I have been debating on getting an iPad for years so I have been saving up and can afford one without hurting myself financially. I currently have an iPhone 7 plus. I use it for text, emails, games and now football season.. research on fantasy players. I mainly play mobile games on my phone and find it inconvenient when I have to close my game and research something and go back into the game and find out it restarted. So.. if I were to get an iPad, which omanagersd I get? Side note. Twice a week I'm in meetings and take notes often. I tried typing notes on my phone but I feel it's rude. [link] [comments]
How many of you guys have taken the leap and made the iPad your daily computer? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 11:02 PM PDT Hi guys, I know this is probably something that circulates around here more often than some people would like, but I'm so conflicted these days. I love my iPad more and more with each passing day, but I still don't know if I should sell my computer and go iPad only. Currently I have a MacBook Pro that does a lot of sitting around, and I'm thinking about selling it off. I refreshed my MacBook and my iPad in the earlier part of 2017... I bought the iPad Pro 12.9 on launch, and I've loved it. Then when Apple released iOS 11, I loved it even more... I've noticed that the more I lean on the iPad to see what it can handle, the less I realize I need my MacBook. I'm just afraid that I'm going to regret it when I pull the trigger. Honestly, I'm a casual user.. I don't run very heavy programs. I use the iPad/Mac mainly for notes and homework assignments... I'm just looking for testimonials from anyone who's been in this predicament... Thanks guys :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Sep 2018 08:51 AM PDT Hi everyone, I'm new to the Apple Ecosystem so I'm wondering if resetting an iPad (iPad Pro 12.9 2017) after a major iOS update really helps with lag, bugs ecc. or It doesn't effect in any way. I'm coming from Android world where it's common performing a wipe data after a major update to prevent lags and other annoying things. I was thinking to reset after the iOS 12 update upcoming next months but I would prefer saving time for other things rather than making iTunes and iCloud backups of my iPad and restore everything after the wipe, so I asked here. Thanks for the support [link] [comments]
Does anyone used any stylus from AliExpress on their iPad. They look exactly like Apple Pencil. Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:32 PM PDT There are few stylus on AliExpress which look almost identical to Apple Pencil and also has great reviews. Anyone has used them? What's your review? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 12:26 PM PDT The screen on my 9.7" Pro isn't very bright, and the area near the button seems a bit darker than the rest. Is this normal? Will it get worse? The original warranty has expired, but I have a few more months left on the extended warranty from my credit card. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Any Tips For WordPress Site Development (Divi Theme) On iPad Pro? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 05:25 AM PDT Sorry if i butchered the title, but I did a quick search on the subreddit for a similar question and couldn't find anything recent. Does anyone have any suggestions, tips or experience with setting up WordPress sites on an iPad using themes that rely on builders, like the Divi theme? I have to use it for work and I usually take out my laptop for projects, but if anyone knows how to make the whole process easier on an iPad Pro instead, I'd love to read all about it! I tried it on Chrome and Safari on my iPad and it's a pain, haha. Thanks in advance! :) [link] [comments]

Worth getting 2017 Ipad right now? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 10:02 AM PDT I'm looking to get an Ipad for mostly Netflix and Youtube. I know that a new Ipad is most likely right around the corner, but I found a decent deal ($40 off) the 128gb version of the newest Ipad and am considering biting the bullet. Thoughts? In a dilemma with 2 iPad Pros, what should I do? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:02 AM PDT Hello, I bought an iPad Pro 64GB, WiFi+ cellular, smart cover and apple pencil for school on eBay (haven't arrived yet) for $600. Turns out, my relative bought me an iPad Pro as well (Wifi, 256GB). So now I'm going to have 2 iPads, and I'm not sure what to do with them. I bought the iPad Pro on eBay thinking that school would start and I wouldn't have an iPad for the first week, but now thinking about it, a week isn't too big of a deal. Should I sell both of them and buy the new iPad Pro next week, or should I just keep one and sell the other or keep both of them? Keep in mind I live in Canada and the tax rate is 13%. Thanks [link] [comments]
What would you like to see in a procreate drawing course? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 09:02 AM PDT I'm thinking of creating an online course (haven't decided which platform) on how to draw for beginners but more specifically on procreate. I was wondering what would you like to see in this course? I was thinking fundamentals of drawing, how to use the procreate app, and good practices and exercises to get better at drawing. Posted: 02 Sep 2018 08:46 AM PDT My iPad 2018 is currently disabled because I forgot its password and I can't wait for an hour so, what should I do (I only installed iTunes on my Windows laptop today so iTunes has not recognized it) [link] [comments]
iPad 2018 or iPad Pro (next generation) for note taking, media consumption, and drawing? Why? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 08:36 AM PDT The next generation iPad Pro screen sizes are not known yet, but I'd go with the one with that has the same form factor as the 2018 iPad/iPad Pro 10.5.
As of right now, I have a Surface Pro 3 and I (have) love(d) it. However, it's becoming slower and slower and it's not a joy to use. Moreover, it's not a great media consumption device nor a great tablet (it's a great hybrid though).
My main uses for the iPad will be note taking and media consumption, but in about a year I'll start using it more for sketching as well since I'm a design student. While getting the Pro is obviously more favorable and I can afford it, I don't want to spend that much extra money if I don't need it (the difference is about €440 / $511 or more, depending on the pricing of the new iPads).
Why should I get the Pro instead of the iPad 2018 and what would I be missing if I get the 2018 iPad? [link] [comments]
Potential new Ipad Pro annoucement question and how to purchase ASAP Posted: 02 Sep 2018 08:30 AM PDT Hello all, I'm interested in buying a ipad pro 12 inch and am anticipating a confirmation of a new model on the 12th. If it does end up being true, do preorders usually open up immediately? Would my college education discount be effective or would I have to wait a period before being able to purchase new releases? Question about the 2018 9.7 vs the 10.5 Pro Posted: 02 Sep 2018 08:01 AM PDT I've been out of the iPad game a few years, so I have a question for current owners. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 11:12 PM PDT My 32G iPad is showing the memory is full. Here is the breakdown: System: 12.63GB Prime Video: 5.2GB Netflix: 510.4MB Safari: 28MB TV: 13.9MB Photos: 4.1MB Calendar: 4.1MB iTunes: 762KB Messages: 256KB Those are all the apps I have on my iPad. No music or photos... anyone know why the system takes up nearly half the memory? Any suggestions to free up some memory? [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:34 AM PDT So the story is that since I've had my iPad, I've always had either a matte or regular screen protector on it but recently I've decided to take them off and use the iPad without anything on it. The question I have is, does the screen have more resistance then other iPads? I feel like when I'm writing with the Apple Pencil it's not as slick (it's still slippery but not as much) and I have to pick my hand up to move across the page rather then slide it across. Is this normal? I have no clue haha. [link] [comments]
