| How much storage do I need for an iPad 2018, if I’m doing digital art? Posted: 24 Jun 2018 08:39 AM PDT Have sold my iPad 2017 and am getting the 2018 model since it's compatible with Apple Pencil. Last one was 32GB and was fine for me, but I'm going to be using the new one for digital art (as well as the usual Netflix etc) so would I be better going for the 128GB model? 128 seems a bit much for me but there's no 64 available. Now when I want to open a file I use the Files app, since with it I can use the Open in feature. However, today I've just found out that I can sync* folders on the Files app too, so now I think that I will stop using Documents, while Readdle doesn't add an Open I'm feature. Anyway, what do you guys use? *I used the Onedrive app to keep a folder offline by doing this I was able to use the files inside the Files app offline too. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple pencil not charging with cable. Posted: 24 Jun 2018 05:33 AM PDT Tried charging my pencil for the first time using the adapted and stock cable but to to no avail. If I look at my iPads notification widget the Apple pencil icon is showing that it is charging (thunder icon) but I won't add any battery. I tried charging it via my iPad and it's working perfectly. Why does search take so long to find a word on my iPad vs my Mac? I understand the power difference between the two devices but is searching a PDF really so intensive that it makes the iPad Pro look like a chump? I use PDF Expert on my Mac and it's instantaneous. It takes my iPad over 30 seconds to search the entire document for rather specific words on Adobe Reader. [link] [comments]  | ||

VUDU had no issues so I watched a movie there. I updated my iPad last night to the latest version. Anyone know a work around? Or is anyone else even experiencing this? My library is appearing perfectly fine now connected to WiFi, but once I turn it onto airplane mode, nothing. I downloaded 10+ movies for this trip to watch so needless to say, this is frustrating. | Posted: 24 Jun 2018 08:59 AM PDT Hello all, hope everyone is having a great weekend! Let me preface this by saying, this Ipad mini was purchased off Amazon in 2014 and I bought it with my ex. She had programmed a new apple account with it and I do not know the password. I do not communicate with her, nor do I think she would remember what the password is. Unfortunately, on Amazon they do not have the serial number affiliated with my Ipad. I went to the apple store to have them reset it but they needed the serial number and a receipt to confirm I purchased the unit and did not steal it. Is there any way this can be unlocked/jailbroken? I am not too techy and didn't know where to begin. It asks me for the account/password etc and without having it I can not even get to the main screen, I stupidly factory reset the Ipad without knowing the username/password. I wanted to trade up my 2017 model for the 2018 9.7 model that works with the pencil. You cannot select that model on apples trade up page, so chat support told me this was a "mistake" and I should take it in locally for a trade in. Welllll locally they told me two different answers on different visits. First visit the manager says they think it is a mistake, can you call back tomorrow after support checks the website?" Second visit, regular floor employee says 2017 9.7 model is "too new" to trade up? I can only "recycle" it. Anyone have any experience trading in one year old models of apple products for the newer version when they came out? I'm pretty confused and no one really seems to know the answer. I live in a country where everything costs 1.3 times the US price so it's worth the wait usually. Then June came and nothing. There's a guy near me selling an iPad Pro 2017 Cellular 12.9" 256GB with pen, keyboard and USB adapters for 887$. Considering this whole package would be at least 1200$ before taxes, this is quite a deal. However, it's in gold, he's had it for year without a screen protector, and I don't wanna get it just for a new model to come out with a new pencil in a couple of months. Although the experience was fantastic with the pen and all, I felt the fingerprint issue were a bit annoying. | Good Screen Protectors for Artwork/Writing? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 05:48 PM PDT Hi, there are probably a million other subreddits out there like this, but I would like some more directed feedback for this question. I press down really hard (well, not really hard, but just hard in general) when I write, but not so much for drawing. Because of this, it's making me want to get a screen protector. I was looking around for some screen protectors on Amazon, and I was concerned that the screen protector would cause some conflict with the Apple Pencil. Sure enough, it did. There is a strange "wobbling" effect while drawing with a screen protector. I thought to myself, "Well, I have a case, so it'll get protected from falls. However, I still push down hard when I write, so I should probably still get one." I kept looking around, and the only "best" one I could find was the PaperLike. The only problem with it, was that it kind of reduced the display on the screen, and I didn't like that it had a color noise to the screen. What are some good screen protectors that you would recommend? I am currently trying to get into digital artwork, so I want to make the right choice when it comes to a decision like this. Thank you!
