- Ok Folks! Isn’t it about time that Vudu and Netflix allowed you to filter titles that are Atmos or HDR or 4K capable? Why is that difficult to do?

Currently if I use my Harmony remote to change the volume when connected to the Airpods, it only controls the TV volume, not the Airpods volume. | Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:31 PM PDT Not sure if this is an Apple TV problem or a HomePod problem, I used the be able to adjust my HomePod volume when using it for my Apple TV by pressing the volume buttons on my iPhone when the Apple TV remote app was open, for some reason that no longer works, any one else having this problem too? I've been trying to find the answer to this: I'm using the "Harmony Beta/Apple TV remote" profile with my Harmony Hub to replicate the ATV4K remote with my Harmony remote, and for the most part it works well. In order to make a new folder, delete apps, etc. on the home screen, you have to press the "Play/Pause" button on the AT4K remote to bring up those options. I'm unable to duplicate this behavior with my Harmony remote. If I long press an app on the home screen and press either play or pause, I don't get that context menu. | Has anyone solved the dimness when watching HDR movies? Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:06 AM PDT I've researched this until I can't take it any longer. Movies that are HDR look dull and about half as bright as they should be. There are zounds of posts on google and in this sub about this problem but I cannot find a silver bullet solution. I have disabled HDR as a workaround, however I just bought Cloverfield on iTunes (don't hate, I like big monsters) and it is forcing HDR for some reason. That's new, and annoying. For reference I have a Samsung MU9000 tv and have tried a few different HDMI cables, all rated for high speed, including a brand new one from Amazon, they all do the same thing. My AppleTV is directly connected to the tv and does not pass through a receiver. [link] [comments]  |
| tvOS public beta train skips from 11.4,1 to 12 Posted: 26 Jun 2018 10:23 AM PDT Quick heads up - I am on the 11.4.1 public beta and received builds 1&2. Build 3 never seemed to become publicly available. I saw a post that build 4 was available and forced an update, but received tvOS 12 build 1 instead yesterday. Not desired as I need to do regression testing against 11.4.1 and can't easily revert now. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 26 Jun 2018 08:34 AM PDT Checked out BR2049 and yes it's atmos. But then I went over to Netflix to give Altered Carbon a listen and it's only coming through in 5.1. It's listed on the preview page as being an Atmos title along with Lost in Space. I guess the app still needs an update maybe? [link] [comments]  |
