Recommendations for “easy to learn, hard to master” style games

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:57 AM PDT

As the titles says, what are some good easy to learn, hard to master kind of game. Can be strategy, puzzle, rpg, roguelike, pretty much any kind of game. Just looking for something I can really sink some time into.

Are there any paid (or even free) games that I can customize the stats?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 07:19 AM PDT

So i'm looking for an rpg where I can put points into stats. Aside from Ragnarok, are there any other games like that? Preferably those with no energy or other time-based mechanics. Just one where I can play as much as I want.

It can be an MMORPG or offline game. Most of the games I found either can't customize any stats (put +10 on STR, etc) or have some time-based bs.

If you could pick one game that's no longer available for iOS and bring it back with a development team that will perform regular updates for it, which game would it be?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:22 AM PDT

For me, it would either be Street Fighter 2 Collection or Batman: Arkham Underworld.

    What would you pick?

Your favourite game to play on an exercise bike?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:37 AM PDT

The exercise bike is my favourite form of cardio workout, but it's incredibly boring if you don't do anything on the side. I'm all out of audiobooks, not a fan of watching Netflix on the phone in the gym and am now hoping to find a good game to play on my phone during.

Can anyone recommend something in that regard?

Edit: Something that can be played one-handed would be preferred.

"The Witness" does a great job with iCloud syncing

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 06:16 AM PDT

I love being able to play on my iPad in the evenings, and then next day launch it on my iPhone and resume exactly where I left off the night before, without having to do ANYTHING.

Some games have clunky "sync to iCloud" buttons that you have to push. I have always found that approach problematic. The Witness does iCloud saving/loading in the most elegant way, silently in the background, all the time.

Sometimes it DOES load the wrong save- maybe a sync issue occurred or the time window between putting my iPad down and picking up my iPhone up was too quick. In those scenarios, I just go to the "Load" menu and the correct Savegame is waiting for me there (based on thumbnail and timestamp).

Great game, by the way. Very peaceful but fun to play, and easy to pop in and out of wherever you are.

How is gaming performance on new 2018 iPad?

    Posted: 05 Apr 2018 05:56 AM PDT

I have a 7 plus which has the same processor (A10) but 3GB of RAM. The new iPad only has 2GB of RAM.

Ive been itching to upgrade to the new 6th gen iPad over a switch because I have a ridiculously large library of games already purchased in the appstore, and im a sketcher

Does ICEY worth getting? I read that the game play is not very long and not fully support iPhone X? Thanks for any insights

Favourite really hard (preferably puzzle and free) games?

    Posted: 04 Apr 2018 03:10 PM PDT

I'm a fan of difficult games, but I mainly mean thinking games and not necessarily reaction time games. I'm looking for possibly free games but they shouldn't be in 3D/use a lot of power cause I'd like to not use up a lot of battery

Games with a decorating element for your abode?

    Posted: 04 Apr 2018 05:59 PM PDT

Hi guys, does anyone have any suggestions for games that let you decorate your home with a bunch of interesting furniture, etc. preferably earned through fun activities? Similar to Animal Crossings that are not on mobile? I am currently playing Townkins which is a bit like what I would have expected from an ios version of Animal Crossings (though it takes a while to unlock the furniture bit), but there is personally a bit too much of a time commitment there for me to keep playing it, plus I don't like having to complete quests on timers (it's not too bad in the game but still there).

I was wondering if anyone knows other games, free or p2p that offer a cosy atmosphere for decorating your home, would be especially cool if you could get items through combat/the game had some rpg elements (if I'm going to dream, might as well dream big), thanks!

Any games similar to Disney Kingdoms?

    Posted: 04 Apr 2018 11:09 AM PDT

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/disney-magic-kingdoms/id731592936?mt=8

Here is the disney game. It's great, because it's similar to CoC, but without having to fight anyone and it works offline.

    Anything similar?
