    Weekly Support Thread

Hello! Welcome to this weeks Weekly Support Thread

This thread is to help answer all of your simple questions, and keep /r/AppleWatch's front page clean! Got a simple question? Get a simple answer. It's as simple as that. The thread's been set to sort posts randomly to push all sorts of questions to the top.

Before you ask, please make sure you've checked out our wiki's troubleshooting guide, searched it on Google, or used our subreddit search feature (wow, who knew that was a thing)! If you can't find an answer, you want some further insight, or you're just lazy, feel free to post your question here.

    What can I ask?

If you've been asked to post your question here, then go ahead! Otherwise, if your question is one or two sentences long, and is pretty simple (such as asking for recommendations, apps, troubleshooting, app issues, etc), go ahead. If you need a lot more investigation, or you're asking for many opinions, go ahead and post it elsewhere (it may be removed if it's too simple, or it's deemed to be more suitable for here).

My uncle was found dead while wearing his Apple Watch. Is there a way to accurately find out when his last heartbeats were?

    Posted: 01 Apr 2018 10:36 PM PDT

As the title says, my uncle passed away, at some recent time. We've found most of his belongings, but we found him dead on the ground of his home, wearing his Apple Watch. Now I know that it's a long shot, since it was out of battery when we found him, and he loved it but wasn't very computer savvy, but could there be a chance to find out exactly when he passed away? We found him right after Easter Brunch so we're not sure when he passed, except for the fact it was after Thursday.

If anyone can help, it would be very appreciated.

My Fiancee who works with Apple surprised me with this awesome AW Band. I think the card that came with the watch is pretty kickass as well.

Guys, we're killing this. I know for a fact that my parents didn't really have enough motivation to exercise every day, but they've been consistently knocking it out of the park lately. Having the Apple watch really helps. FYI: we're in different timezones so I'm lagging behind on the standing goal.

I see this completely pointless thing far too often when all I raise my wrist to check the time - watch should be smart enough to avoid

Is LTE worth the hype?? Yes/No?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 02:04 AM PDT

    Hi,

Really interested in the Apple watch 3. Just stuck deciding between the LTE and non LTE version. Just looking to know more about the experience of having a watch with cellular capabilities and would really appreciate the feedback.

Are they worth the extra money? I don't want to pay extra for something which I might not use.

Also, after buying, do you tend to leave your phone at home more often? or not at all.

    Thanks

    Buy now or wait?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:22 AM PDT

So I've been considering buying a watch for the last couple months. My main purpose is the fitness aspect. I owed a gen1 fit bit when they first came out years ago and lost weight and wore it for a couple years before it eventually died. I'm currently overweight again, just way too lazy if I'm being honest and the constant motivation of the old fit bit helped me a lot. My question is this. I have a deal with Sprint where I can buy one at a few extra bucks on my bill per month but I've been reading everywhere that we are only a few months away from a new model rolling out.. Thoughts, should I buy now or wait it out?

Upgraded iphone to 11.3, it seems to be forcing me to update my Watch to 4.3

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:01 AM PDT

Is there a way around this? I refused to update the watch because I regularly use my watch to browse my music synced to my phone with itunes.

After updating to 11.3 I noticed on my watch I could still browse my library and pick albums or songs but when I tried to play them I got an error on the watch saying unable to play.

When I launch the Watch app I can only update my watch or exit the app and reset the watch which will cause it to unpair from my phone.

Syncing LTE watch on personal account with phone on business account....

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 08:00 AM PDT

I bought a series 3 Apple watch Saturday and opted for the LTE version, without doing much research. I've run into a problem syncing the watch with my phone though. The watch is under a number on my personal AT&T account, but my cell phone is on a separate business account through my work, also AT&T account. I'm getting an error saying that they cannot sync because they are on different billing plans. Has anyone had success syncing a personal watch with phone on a business plan with AT&T? Or, does anyone know of a work around on this?

    Thanks!

Notifications have changed? IP cam now shows zoomed in screen

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 07:46 AM PDT

So I have a Logi Circle for the nursery, ever since it's update a few months ago, any notification sent to the watch showed a FULL screenshot of the room or image that the camera was seeing. It quickly became the greatest convenience of my life since I did not need to dive into the Logi Circle app to check what caused the movement notification. Game changing.

However, after the update, it seems that the whole field has become bigger and instead of showing me the whole picture it seems to show me a parts of the room ZOOMED IN. I've checked all settings and since the Logi Circle app hasn't been updated in a while and the only thing that i've updated was the Watch, is this a WatchOS problem?

Does the Apple Watch underclock the processor when the battery is underperforming like on iPhones?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 07:05 AM PDT

I assume the battery in an Apple Watch deteriorates similarly to those in iPhones and may cause instability/unexpected shutdowns if the processor puts too much of a load on it.

Chart unavailable during outdoor runs ? Any fix ?

    Posted: 02 Apr 2018 06:36 AM PDT

If I do a simple outdoor walk it works well. During runs it just shows me my average heart rate but not a chart. On some workouts it works, but on most it doesn't. My watch is tight on my wrist, so the distance is not too far. (I'm using a 2nd generation watch, 42mm)

    Thx for any help!
