    Hello, I've had iOS devices for about 10 years maybe just a little less. With every new iOS that is released I just feel like it's a rehashed version of the one before. Don't get me wrong Apple have made a lot of changes within iOS. But after all these years I'm getting sick of seeing the same layout, the same icons. Surely this look can't go on for years more? I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way? But I'm just bored of this same layout. iOS 11 for me is by far the worse they have ever released and probably many others. I don't like the layout at all and also there have been so many bugs within this software. Many bugs that haven't been fixed still. I'm just posting this just to see what you guys think. Thanks

    Weird Battery Drains, Seems Common on latest iOS

    Have a 7plus 128gb on ATT. I've posted before about battery drain when usage and standby are the same high number. Led me to thinking it was a bug, debating on doing a DFU to my iphone and set up as new. Last week, turned off my cellphone radio, turned on my low battery toggle (yellow battery bar) and kept off the charger. Thought I was getting somewhere because I'd have 2% drain overnight which sounded reasonable for a year old device. also disabled notifications for a lot of apps, save for some key ones like mail, set to FETCH, and turned off background app for all but a couple, like Notes and Mail So, imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning and saw my phone had dropped 26% in the middle of the night with 11 or so minutes of usage and 8 hrs of standby, which sounds reasonable (if I wake up in the middle of the night, I check some shit). BUT I'm at a loss for what's causing this. If it was low signal, it'd say (only WiFi available and my router is in the same room as the phone), and the other apps are ? making sense? I force quit all my apps, including Apple Music (which I know I listened to longer than the time listened) and that halted the drain, which when I woke up was about 1% per minute.

    Honestly I don't know what to do, and I really don't want to do DFU because I've read some people on Macforums with similar issues and the problem came right back. Is it a "me" bug, an iOS bug, an Apple Music / Services bug?

    Third party keyboards have come a long way on IOS. However, I cringe at that bar at the bottom of the keyboard that breaks the design. Anyone know a third party keyboard that blends in properly?

    Beach & Pool-goers with 7, 8 or X phones: Waterproof case or no?

    Every year, I usually sport a Lifeproof or similarly-waterproof case during the summer months. We have kids and spend a lot of time at the beach, pool, and waterparks. Lots of water and sand.

    For medical reasons, I need to have my iPhone with me at all times. While I don't take it into the swimming pool, it's on me at all times when at the beach, water park, or poolside. I've heard some say they believe that the water resistance offered by models 7 and above make these waterproof cases obsolete, but I just can't stand the thought of taking a chance with a device I rely on so heavily for so many purposes. I also love being able to attach a lanyard and have the phone in my hand.

    So for those who spend a lot of time around water and sand during the summer months, do you switch to a waterproof case even though your model iPhone offers some water resistance? Why or why not? And which waterproof case have you found to be the nicest?

    iphone se in 2018

    I am planning to buy iphone se but not sure. What is its remaining life time do you think? Will planned obsolescence affect it? I am a very big fan of phones with small screen and iphone se is just what I want from a phone. I hate phones with bigger screen than 4.5" so there aren't so many alternatives. Should I buy it in 2018?
