How to get the most out of a new series 3 GPS?

    Posted: 19 Jan 2018 10:25 PM PST

First time Apple Watch owner, but long time Apple supporter.

Just wondering what are the key apps to use for customization, best straps that won't cost $$$ and general new user tips?

500 calories for 385 consecutive days. Don’t suppose I’ll beat this number ever again when the streak ends.

    Speech/Presentation Timer

    Posted: 20 Jan 2018 06:52 AM PST

Hello all, I've been looking in the App Store and can't find a good option. Does anyone have recommendations on a watch app that you can set multiple timers at once on? For example, during a 5 minute speech I'd get a buzz at the 2 min mark, 4 min mark, and a buzz at the end without a blaring green/yellow/red screen. Any app I've found with these capabilities is workout focused. This seems like a perfect app for the watch, so it's surprising it doesn't exist, but then I might just be missing it.

Any good Full-Text RSS feed apps?

I'm looking for an RSS app that shows Full-text on the watch, not snippets. Any suggestions?

    Durable Case for 1st Gen?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2018 07:55 AM PST

I am very hard on watches-I usually break/scratch the face within the first week. Can someone recommend a durable case for the 1st ten 42mm? Do they make something like a Otterbox Defender-esque case for these?

Do you guys use prominent feedback?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2018 07:49 AM PST

If you guys use prominent feedback for your notifications, I was wondering if this had any significant change to the battery life or if it hardly uses any

The breathe app’s reminders aren’t very good. Why can’t I schedule times? It wakes me up twice a night telling me to breathe.

[Question] Is there anybody having no notifications on their watches after the latest beta 4.2.2?

It’s that time of the year again

    Posted: 19 Jan 2018 10:52 AM PST

We at Apple Corporate (I don't know if retail is doing it) are holding our second annual close the rings challenge. Last year it was for a t-shirt and metal badge with the Apple Watch rings on it we competed for, this year it is for a limited Apple Watch band themed like the Apple Watch rings.

This challenge requires you do set your calories to 390 and meet all three rings every day for 1 month, starting February first

While you folks don't work for Apple I wanted to extend the invite to be competitive and attempt to meet those three goals everyday. It is beneficial and healthy to do so. Maybe someone can even start a challenge through the challenges app for reddit as well.

Edit: the band is the nylon black loop but the clasp holder is colored like the rings for those wondering.

People using the Chronograph Watch Face: Why do you love it?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2018 02:48 AM PST

Using it for timing, for instance cooking, seems kind of stupid, as you could also set a timer and the timer would reach out for you and you don't need to check for it all the time.

I can not really think of many situations, why you would need a stopwatch in everyday life.

Looking does not count. I know it looks great, but I'm searching for practical reasons.

    Missing pictures in messenger

    Posted: 20 Jan 2018 04:39 AM PST

hi, I have just bought an Apple Watch 3 with GPS and it is on WatchOS 4.2. I have some issues with messenger app on it. The messenger is sometimes really slow to load messages so it is often out of date. The worst thing is, that there are missing pictures in the messages overview. I just have a grey picture with facebook logo in the corner (Which I think should probably be an online status). Also, when I have a nickname set to a contact, I can see it fine on the overview, but when I enter the conversation, it changes back to their full name even though the nickname stays there for a brief moment. Does anyone have solution for these issues? Thanks

you can see what I mean on the screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/azxoFdt.png

    Apple Watch posture app

    Posted: 19 Jan 2018 07:43 PM PST

Hello everyone, just wanted to know if there was an app on the App Store that can remind me to improve my posture throughout the day. Or maybe something that vibrates every 15 minutes.. I need to stop slouching. Thanks
