- Reminders app broken - nobody can slove this, even Apple, without doing a full MacOS re-install - my MacOS version of reminders no longer syncs with iCloud and looks like this. Can anyone help please?
- iMac fan speed throttled to full speed constantly since Monterey update
- Menu bar and title bar quickly showing and hiding when navigating between desktops and fullscreen video.
- Is Tap-to-click missing taps on Monterey solved in 12.1? It was there is 12.0
- Remote Desktop equivalent?
- MacOS 12.1 restricted Swap usage and turned off M1 Macbook Air's magic
- Can't disable SIP on mid 2007 base model 20" iMac
- Should I upgrade to Monterey or wait?

iMac fan speed throttled to full speed constantly since Monterey update Posted: 25 Dec 2021 06:34 AM PST I'm seriously beginning to think this company is run by vampires who design their products to fuck you out of specifically the exact maximum number of percents of a penny they can possibly leach out of you, and that any of the actual care for the quality of their product they feign is really just as a guise for their money chugging, public humping, evil greedy ass corporate behavior, revolving around algorithms to suck their customers dry. I'm running an iMac that I bought new in late 2017 with every single upgrade they offered to the hardware specs. Now, 4 years later, my fan speed is throttled to full speed constantly. Why? Why the fuck is that Apple? Trying to burn out our components quicker so your customers are forced to buy more of your fucking bullshit? Again? "hRrRrNnGg try closing da extra apps, you are asking it too much now!"Why? Because by the sound of the fan you've fucking tripled the amount of processing power required for simple applications to run? You think people who use your products to do their jobs want to listen to your poison disguised as failure all day? At this point, I hope disgruntled customers retaliate. [link] [comments]
Posted: 25 Dec 2021 06:12 AM PST Hi guys. When I'm not checking the "automatically hide and show the menu bar in fullscreen mode" option in the menu bar settings The Title Bar and Menu Bar is quickly showing and disappearing when navigating between spaces and fullscreen video. The second issue if I check the aforementioned option in settings now besides making the menu bar show all the time even in fullscreen video which is very distracting, when getting close to the menu bar in fullscreen apps just the title bar(which contains the minimize and close buttons) shows up which is extremely annoying. I hope I Described the issues well. Anyone know a fix?!! [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Dec 2021 05:54 AM PST Is there an equivalent to Microsoft Remote Desktop on Mac? I'd like to be able to monitor my Mac and its completion of tasks while upstairs for example. Local control is a must and remote control would be nice. [link] [comments]
MacOS 12.1 restricted Swap usage and turned off M1 Macbook Air's magic Posted: 25 Dec 2021 01:31 AM PST When I got the M1 Macbook Air (base model), I was so surprised to experience its performance. Especially memory management. 8GB RAM on this thing has never been a bottleneck. But the swap usage was always high – like 8-9 GB. Memory pressure never turned to red either. Ever since MacOS 12.1, I've been experiencing slowness and sluggishness due to low memory and I often see the memory pressure turning to red. And the swap usage doesn't seem to go beyond 3GB despite having over 100GBs of free disk space. It feels like Apple turned off the Godmode on this Macbook. I wonder if this is a consequence of trying to fix the high SSD usage and/or memory leak issues. Anyone else is experiencing this? [link] [comments]
Can't disable SIP on mid 2007 base model 20" iMac Posted: 25 Dec 2021 05:16 AM PST I'm trying to use Zorin on my mac (mid 2007 base model 20" iMac running the latest version of El Capitan) and so I'm using rEFInd to dual boot. But I'm trying to disable SIP and it's not letting me boot into Recovery mode to do so through terminal. Is there another way to disable SIP other than terminal in recovery mode? When I boot it up the screen turns white, then the white apple logo pops up, then a circle with a cross pops up for a few seconds, then it boots up normally like nothing happened. I installed a SATA SSD but enabled trim force, and it still does the same thing. I've tried a PRAM, NVRAM, and SMC reset but it still didn't do anything. Is there anything else worth trying?
