| Apple TV 4K + Samsung Q950T Soundbar - Help! Posted: 07 May 2021 04:54 PM PDT Hey all, Hoping someone might have a similar setup to me and some advice. I run an Apple TV 4K through my Q950T soundbar in order to take advantage of ATMOS etc. The issue is with the display output from the soundbar to the TV. The Apple TV 4K has dynamic picture settings (Dolby Vision, SDR, HDR, match dynamic range, match frame rate etc.) however I only seem to be able to get consistent performance when I set to HDR settings and no matching. If I set to anything else my TV flicks between picture and static. When I connect the Apple TV direct to my TV I don't have this issue but I do lose ATMOS as the Apple TV doesn't support pass through on EARC. This leads me to believe the issue lies with the soundbar. Anyone else experienced and fixed this? If it helps, I have a Sony X900H TV. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 07 May 2021 05:04 PM PDT I've recently set up my Siri remote to control my speakers' volume via IR, which is great, but I'd like it to be able to power them on also and ditch the second remote. Does anyone know if this is possible? The speakers get an optical output from my TV, so they aren't controllable by HDMI-CEC, only IR. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Problem with the iPhone remote app Posted: 07 May 2021 01:04 PM PDT A problem has just arisen with the SIRI remote app in my iPhone 11. When using it if the screen goes dark touching the screen reopens it with some kind of (I assume some kind of) error and buttons grayed out. Going back and relaunching the remote fixes it until the next time the screen shuts off. Rebooting the phone doesn't fix it. [link] [comments]  | ||
| 1-year free offer disappeared while I'm still eligible Posted: 07 May 2021 06:40 AM PDT Hello, So I'm still within 3 months after new device purchase (MBA purchased Feb 16), but I no longer see the 1 year offer for Apple TV+ either in the app or via browsers. It was there before, but I didn't activate immediately and now it's gone and just offering standard 7 days trial. I already updated software, restarted, logged in/out of the TV+ - all the normal stuff I could think of. Any ideas what else I can try?
