Apple Macbook I dropped my Mac Book Pro 13" sideways from 3 feet high. The physical screen appears to be undamaged. However, I'm seeing horizontal lines and a thick (0.5 inch) series of vertical lines. Is this something I can fix?

Caution: Macbook Pro keyboard repair - They said 5 days, it's now been 3 weeks

Just wanted to warn everyone. I took my MacBook Pro in because several of the keys had stopped working. As the title says, they told me that it would be ready in 5 days, but it has now been 3 weeks. The people at the Apple Store have been very unhelpful and this has been a terrible experience.

    MacBook protection?

    Posted: 26 Jul 2018 05:25 PM PDT

I recently got a used MacBook Pro 13-Inch (2014). My first MacBook btw... and was wondering if it's necessary to get a trackpad protector, a screen protector, and/or a palm rest cover? I spent quite a bit of money to get it and even though it's used I would like to keep it in the great condition its in.

What's the catch with these drives? Are they safe to use in my Late 2013 MacBook Pro? Anyone ever tried one?

If they work then I am good to go for a while.

    Potential CPU's for the 2018 13in MacBook/Air Replacement

    Posted: 26 Jul 2018 12:19 AM PDT

I was looking at Intel's 8th generation i5 lineup speculating on what apple could potentially use for the 2018 13in MacBook/Air replacement. The new 13in MBP 13 TB uses the i5-8259u which is upper mid-tier for the u series processors. The only other two processors below this chip are the i5-8250u and the i5-8350u. I don't think apple would put a better processor for the 13 MacBook/air replacement especially considering these are suppose to be in $999-$1099 price range. If either the i5-8250u or the i5-8350u are used in the upcoming machines would their performance be worth waiting for compared to the i5-7360u used in the 2017 13in MBP non TB? How much difference in performance is there between the i5-7360u and the i5-8250u/i5-8350u?

    I Returned It

    Posted: 26 Jul 2018 08:35 AM PDT

I purchased a 2018-i9/32GB/1TB. I had it for two days, never opened it, and then returned it unopened. Why? Because I just bought a 2017 in March and couldn't see the upside to upgrading. Keep in mind I upgrade about once a year. But I just could not justify it this time.
