| Phone won’t charge with USB-C but will with old school USB Posted: 26 Apr 2021 12:40 AM PDT iPhone 12 Mini, IOS 14.4.2, APAC region Hi team, So last night I spilled beer on my phone - not a lot by any means and the phone wasn't submerged etc. This morning I went to charge my phone and got the liquid warning in the lightening port etc. Left it to dry for a few hours. Since then, I can't charge my phone with a USB-C charger - only an older USB charger works. Have confirmed it is phone issue not charger as the charger works on other iPhones. Have tried a USB-C cable from both fast charger and laptop port - no joy. What's the go here? Assuming this is a software related issue? Thanks heaps in advance! [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 25 Apr 2021 11:18 PM PDT I've only started experiencing this problem recently , basically since yesterday morning , but I've tried to open Discord and Instagram and they refuse to load. However, other apps its generally fine but may take a while. Im torn between whether this is an iPhone issue or an issue with my wifi somehow, even though it works fine on PC. Iv gotten it to find my modem once but it didn't connect but if you can get the WiFi to turn on it normally can't find anything and most of the time it's grayed out and can't be turned on Should a WiFi antenna replacement work or just not worry about it [link] [comments]  |

I don't want to continue to have everything I take go to iCloud but when I try to turn off that feature it says it will delete optimized photos and the only other option is to download photos and videos. When it works it's working perfectly fine, but often time it is not listening when I say 'Hey Siri'. Same problem persists when I use Bluetooth mic or Apple car play. | Bluetooth issues with iPhone 11 Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:04 AM PDT Model: iPhone 11, running ios 14.4.2 Issue: Bluetooth keeps getting disconnected. My phone seems to have issues keeping a bluetooth connection. I thought it was my airpods but apparently my phone keeps getting disconnected even when connected to a speaker. I have tried everything it seems. Tried disconnecting every device and then pairing just one device, rebooted, and also reset network settings. Nothing seems to work. Is there anything else i can try except the full hard reset? Or should I send it to a service center? ( I'm not sure what they'll do cause i think it might be an issue with software but i could be wrong). Has anybody had similar issues? Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
| Phone won't turn on, is erasing data through Find My Phone safe? Posted: 25 Apr 2021 02:58 PM PDT I'm returning a refurbished phone I bought 3 weeks ago from a third party seller through Best Buy. I can't turn my phone on to do a manual factory reset, so I did the erase data from the Find My Phone feature on my Ipad. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's secure enough, I have password and face ID set up on the phone, but I do have sensitive data on my phone and I'm just worried that those features could be bypassed. Thanks. (The reason I'm sending the phone back is because it was working fine til the battery drained completely. I went to charge it and 20 mins later the phone is red hot, and had to perform a hard reset and it finally cooled down enough to touch. It hasn't turned on since, even brought it in to the Apple store and they couldn't turn it on and they didn't detect any charge being received by the phone. | Posted: 25 Apr 2021 02:54 PM PDT Hello recently dropped my phone and the screen cracked, the small cracks don't bother me as much as the large black spots on the right side of my screen that are growing everyday. I was wonder what's the cheapest fix for this? Would I be able to just get the screen replaced and there wouldn't be the black spots any more? | (help) Screen automatically lowers brightness Posted: 25 Apr 2021 08:59 AM PDT Hello, i have a problem where my iphone (6s, 13.3.1) automatically lowers brightness after going into auto lock. I have disabled both night shift and auto brightness. Only way i can quickly turn up the brightness is by tapping the lock button about 2 times or manually turning up the brightness. Posted: 25 Apr 2021 09:22 AM PDT It doesn't scroll up all of the time, but when it does it's super annoying. There have been times it doesn't do it for days then it'd randomly start up again. As far as I'm aware I have no viruses on my phone. I don't know if it's important or not but I have cleaned my screen a few times just to "be sure" it's not some nonsense of it senses my finger elsewhere on the screen. I also have a crack on my screen almost in the shape of an "x" (ironically) I've had the crack for over a year before these "scroll ups" started to happen. I've reset the phone, but not to factory settings. I've let it 100% die. I'm not sure what else I'd have to do. Does anyone have any idea of why this keeps happening? [link] [comments]  |

All I have left is an old iPhone 6s which luckily has some of my notes, and my most listened to music (locally stored on the iphone not spotify or apple music). This iPhone 6s has been synced with my iTunes on my mac computer back at home. I just purchased a cheap, low end laptop in the country that I'm in. Is it possible to sync this iPhone with the windows version of iTunes on my current laptop? I know on my macs, once synced with one itunes, it cant sync with another, but I for some reason recall this to not be the case with windows. The most important things to me are to get my notes data, and my music files synced. Ultimately, this iPhone is garbage now and can't hold a battery, so until I get home I purchased a Xiaomi redmi note 10 which is an android phone. I need to get my music (most important) and my notes from the iPhone 6s, onto this laptop so that I can hopefully then transfer them onto this new android phone that I have. | Ipad air 2 screen not working after dropped from low height Posted: 25 Apr 2021 08:34 AM PDT So my Ipad Air 2 has been dropped before, and the screen goes out, but siri and the sounds work and touchscreen works, so before I just power off and turn on then it worked. But right now the same scenario ipad screen blacked out again but when I turn off and on, it doesnt have light anymore, but using a flashlight, I can see the shadow of the apple logo coming out of the screen. | iPhone 11 Pro stopped accessing internet (WIFI & cell) Posted: 25 Apr 2021 07:47 AM PDT Hey, I've been trying to find a solution to this, but have come up dry. Wife's phone is all screwed up. It says it's connected to wifi networks per the Wifi screen in the Settings, but there's no little symbol in the top of the screen and, more importantly, there's no connectivity. She's also getting no connectivity when on cellular data. No app store. No safari. Everything either doesn't work or says she has no connectivity. The ONLY online app that works is Facebook, which I have no explanation for, and the Software Update screen tells up the software is up to date. She can make phone calls and send text messages. Pictures take. It really only seems to be anything requires internet access. Her iOS version is 14.4.2. We've tried hard reboots, cycling airplane mode/cell/wifi and resetting network settings. I know it's nothing on our end as the entire rest of my house's ecosystem connects and operates just fine. She says she hasn't installed any apps recently, but can't tell me when she updated to 14.4.2 (assuming this is an issue with that). Any idea on what's causing this or how to fix it?
