The Smart Battery Case, a long term conclusion. Posted: 09 Jan 2021 12:39 PM PST From the moment I bought my iPhone XS Max I bought my Smart Case, which was Feb of 2019, and in the coming few days I'll be upgrading to the 12 Pro Max. I'll be talking briefly here about my experience and I won't get to scientific numbers as I did not prepare myself from day 1 to write this. So for what is already a big of a phone the case was an addition of weight and volume in general, but for someone gifted with big hands it took me a couple of days to get familiar with it, but every time I hand my phone to anyone I'm reminded of how unfamiliar it is to other people, especially if they were using it for long phone calls. Usually my day starts at around 5 AM and ends around 10:30 to 11:00 PM, and through out my day I move a lot as I usually hit my work in an agricultural station and I use my phone for data collection and I take photos and sometimes videos as a tool of research, I'm an R&D professional, then sometimes I go to the laboratory and use the phone for data collection too. After my work is done I hit the gym and most of the time I film myself as I do my weightlifting workouts to take notes on my form and progressions. Finally I may go out with friends for dinner or social gatherings ( Remember when that was normal?). Add to all of that the heavy use of social messaging apps, Instagram and Reddit and I'm usually left 35-50 percent of battery. Sometimes when I have a lot of phone calls it drops to less than 20 percent. You may also be noted that most of the time I'm on mobile network not WiFi. So after 2 years of usage I can say the following:
And that's it for a wrap. I hope that you enjoyed it. [link] [comments] | ||

Clarifying some confusion with Apple extending the purchase window for AppleCare+ Posted: 09 Jan 2021 04:22 AM PST In the United States and Canada, Apple had expanded the eligibility window for AppleCare+ from 60 days to the full year, however I've seen a lot of incorrect information being passed around as to the eligibility and the process. Here are a few key disclaimers:
